We had a wonderful 3 nights here. four adults and a child - three generations in adjoining cottages. The cottages were clean and comfortable and showers were good. The accommodation is all inclusive and we enjoyed home cooked food - plenty of it and a choice at dinner time. Morning and evening cruises are also included. We swam off the...

It's difficult to find the correct words to justify the amazing experience we had at Norman Carr Cottage. Central to this is of course Taffy who is full of enthusiasm for the place and the peace it offers. Taffy also provided all our transport both from Lilongwe and then on to Blantyre after our 4 night stay. He also accompanied...

We spent three nights here in this delightful lodge on the west shore of Lake Malawi enjoying "Taffy" hospitality. He's not Welsh but South African, which is a bit confusing at first! The reasonable rates include full board (a gong will summon you to lunch) and also all routine activities, so it is really good value. The lodges are clean,...

What a location, what wonderful staff, what a great place to relax and unwind. We spent 2 nights in these charming rooms, relaxing in the sun, swimming in the clear lake water and taking boat trips. Our host Taffy made us feel welcome and as a part of the family. The weekend included snorkeling, fish eagles, king fishers, monkeys and...

I actually stayed here for 2 weeks, first to conduct some business in the area and then to get some writing done. Taffy and Penny were superb host and hostess, making me feel very much at home as part of their family. The room is nicely laid out with an incredibly comfortable bed and separate sitting area with little half...

This hotel has been one of the best I've ever been to! Their is so much to do and see. The owner is very sociable and the stag are very kinds as well! I am definitely going back! The water activities were the highlight of the stay, especially the snorkelling. If you are ever out in Malawi go here!

I’ve had a wonderful stay and enjoyed it so much that I’ve extended my stay by 4 nights! To begin, Norman Carr Cottage is located on the shores of Lake Malawi – a destination that is off the tourist track, but offered more than I could have hoped for. Taffy went out of his way to make me feel welcome...

Had a beautiful time on a weekend holiday. Just what this nurse needed after a long travel to Malawi from the States for a medical mission. Taffy was awesome in offering his services and hospitality to us and took care of all of our needs. The rooms were gorgeous and we could not have asked for a better view of...
