My son has autism, and so taking him on holiday is usually an exercise in planning and logistics, with careful customer relations work required too. He took one look at the play area, the flying fox and the pedal cars with detachable trailers, and didn't want to go anywhere else. We were in an old caravan, which had seen better...

It always provides great satisfaction to farewell happy customers and to welcome them back again. Sounds you and your son are one of them. Thank you very much for your review. We keep our Park private and the playground accessible for guests only, to provide space and tranquillity.

Thank you Griffen for your review. I am glad you found the Cabin you stayed in comfortable and clean. Our prices are adjusted to the number of people staying in each room. The price is then determined at check in. Unfortunately you did not register your 2 children and when I met you in the morning as you both walked...

I very let down down! Stay in a tent! you are better off. there early 2014 The rooms were dirty like they don't ever get cleaned but once a month. The tub was full of pubic hairs. Total thumbs down Plus I always had a thought of the bates hotel when I was there. I was waiting for Norman to...

Hi Brad . I am very disappointed to read your review. Not sure where and when you stayed here, you mention early this year? If anything was not up to standard, please get in touch with me direct and let me know which room you stayed in and when. Really hope to clarify, as this is not a reflection of...

I've stayed in many holiday parks around New Zealand and this is now my favourite. Beautiful park, well maintained and cozy cottages. Lots of great free extras like a piano, a free bookshare library, a wonderful playground for the kids (and adults!)--and a really cool flying fox too! And did I mention the hot pools? Wow! Super friendly reception staff...

We based ourselves at Te Aroha Holiday Park for the weekend while exploring the Karangahake gorge. We stayed in a self contained cabin, while not ultra modern, had everything we needed and was clean and tidy, and warm once we cranked the heater up. The weather was miserable, but that didn't keep the kids off the totally awesome adventure playground....

Thank you, Anna for your feedback. We had only just finished restoring the two pedal go-karts the week leading up to your visit, so it was rewarding for us to see how your children loved playing on them. Hopefully you can travel our way again some times this summer. Anna

We used this venue as a base while checking out Te Aroha before moving here. Accommodation was basic but clean/tidy. Different options - some quirkier than others. Awesome adventure playground! Friendly staff. Thanks for an enjoyable stay :)

My stay at Te Aroha was my worst experience in New Zealand and probably my worst hotel/motel/camping night experience in decades! First, at least 24 hours in advance, I reserved a 2-bedroom flat with kitchen and bathroom from the campground's website and received a confirmation email. When we arrived, Anna did not have the room and did not recall our...

Thank you SzanHK for your review. Once again I am sorry that the electricity supply to your cabin went out for 1.5 hrs between 9.30 pm and midninght. Sad to read all the negative comments, many of which referred to things outside Anna's control. Our family of 5 stayed in one of the tourist flats and found it to be well appointed, clean and tidy, in fact it would have to be the best presented unit we have stayed in. Sadly we didn't have the time to make...
