It was an amazing stay, We were warmly greeted upon our arrival, by our gracious and helpful host Barbara, from my first communication with her to the end of our stay, Barbara was the perfect host. There were 5 adults travelling together. We rented 2 one level cottages, one with two bedrooms the other with one. Both were quaint, impeccably clean, and very well equipped. We felt comfortable slept well with the a/c units in each bedrooms. The grounds were manicured offering a variety of flower bushes, towering greenery and matured trees which made you feel relaxed right away. The property is ideally located, within walking distance to all the necessities, groceries, pharmacy, miscellaneous stores, great restaurants and of course the beach with its boardwalk is less than a 5 minute walk. We felt confortable to ride the buses to Bridgetown and even walked there one day it’s really not that far. the only thing you may need is a hair dryer as they are not supplied in the units but beach towels are. In my opinion we couldn’t have found a better place and will be returning in 2024!

Glenville Gardens is by far one of the cleanest well appointed accommodations we have stayed in. I clean every accommodation upon arrival. It would have been pointless here, everything was sparkling. Anything you need and what you don't know you need is there. We have travelled a fair bit and stayed in many 5* locations and I have never seen anywhere as clean as we found the cottage and surroundings. Every detail has been so well thought out. The host Barbara is one of the bests hosts you could ever ask for and everyone is so friendly. In passing I mentioned how much we love the place, the only thing was the bedroom fan was slightly noisy for a light sleeper. Do you know that when we got back later that day that a brand new extremely quiet fan had been installed. Now that is a host that truly cares about her guests total experience. From the time you step beyond the gates you feel safe and tranquil in the lovely gardens. You could never go wrong choosing this location for a multitude of reasons. Barbara thanks so much for creating such a caring and comfortable environment, special thanks for the absolutely delicious banana /coconut bread you baked , an incredibly nice touch. If we could give 10 stars we would.

My wife and I stayed in a beautiful, self-catering, 1 -bedroomed cottage in Glenville Gardens for 2 and 1/2 weeks, having visited 3 years previously to view the accommodation. Our stay could not have been bettered. Sadly the holiday was cut short by the Covid -19 virus emergency and having to return to the UK. But our actual time in Glenville Gardens was blissful. The cottages , with large sheltered porches, are so comfortable, well equipped with all you require in a kitchen, tastefully decorated, well ventilated with mosquito screens on windows, roof fans and air conditioning should you need it - we rarely did. The en-suite bathroom was so clean, provisioned with 3 towels for each of us, had a superb shower and , like all the cottages , was serviced twice a week with a thorough clean and new towels. And the location, well, it was faultless in our opinion. The gardens are exquisite , and as well as being a haven for birds, provide privacy between cottages. With the beach some 200 metres down the road I never wanted the holiday to end. There are local convenience stores and many restaurants within a few minutes walk and supermarkets close too. As for our arrival , we felt welcomed from the start for there was food and milk in our refrigerator to see us through the first evening - we arrived at the site about 8.30 pm. Such thoughtfulness is typical of Barbara ( and Sugrim ) who owns and manages the cottages and who ensured we were comfortable at all times. We cannot recommend Glenville Gardens more highly and we now know why many of those who stay there do so year after year. If we have the opportunity we shall be doing the same.

I almost don’t even have the words to describe how much we love staying at Glenville Gardens. Barbara and Sugrim are the most kindhearted “hosts” I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Their property is absolutely stunning, beautiful gardens and a lovely place to hang/relax/bbq (and wait for the monkeys to come by) when your not at the beach which is only a 5 min walk away. Deborah (the cleaning lady) is also just as friendly and does a fabulous job keeping things tidy and clean. We have stayed both in Heather and Estelle Cottages. Both have more than enough room for two couples and are just perfect for you stay. It’s also within walking distance to so many great shops and restaurants. Anyone thinking of staying here should never question it, just book and enjoy!! Can’t wait to visit again.....my favourite place on earth!! 🇧🇧 ❤️

We stayed once as a couple and I did another stay by myself a few years later. Barbara is an amazing manager and Sugrim is a fine gentle fellow. A fun part was the rule that, if you found any eggs laid by the chickens, you could keep them. The ocean is not far and there are a few stores for food, souvenirs and other items. The Glenville is like an oasis. Below your "when did you travel" spot does not go back far enough. However we are going to that place this year for two weeks.

We stayed at Glenville Gardens on our friend's recommendation and it far exceeded ally expectations. It was the cleanest place I've ever stayed in (better than a hotel), beautiful property with chickens, turtles, monkeys, super close walk to the boardwalk and restaurants like Blue Pineapple, Tiki Bar, Tapas and Blakey's and so much more! Barbara is an award-winning host! She is super responsive, helpful, incredibly kind and just wants you to have the best stay ever. They have everything you need. We couldn't recommend Glenville Gardens enough. See you soon! xo Christie, Adrian, Harper and Brighton.

Our One Bedroom Cottage with kitchenette was perfect and meticulously clean. It has all the cutlery and cooking utensils you need for your stay. You have a deck to sit and drink your coffee or a common area with lounge chairs and two gas Bar-B-Qs. Barbara and Sugrim the owners are awesome people. The cleaner Debbie and grounds keeper Claude help keep the property/residence incredibly clean. The monkeys go through the yard as well as wild Parrots land in the trees. Beach is close, just go to the end of the board walk, nice quite beach area or take the local van or bus for $1 US per person to Carlisle Bay. You should go to Carlisle Bay during your visit. There are also numerous restaurants in walking distance or go to local hotels and enjoy entertainment for free.

I must say Glenville Gardens is like a home away from home. The online pictures do not do it justice for sure. This was my first trip to Barbados and my mom and myself stayed at the lovely Estelle cottage. My first impression of the place was the well manicured and secured premises. Each cottage has its own little private area with either a deck or a front porch. Lucky for us the Estelle cottage had both. The place was extremely clean and well kept (courtesy of Deborah) and fully equipped with everything one could need. The hostess Ms.Barbara was truly amazing. She answered all of questions concerning the area and how best to get around the island. Her hospitality needless to say is remarkable. Let’s not forget to mention that she even baked and offered some of her delicious banana bread. I was truly glad that i had a chance to say there and if I have to visit again I wouldnt stay any where else.

After a chance meeting and conversation Sugrim { the owner of Glenville Gardens along with his wife Barbara} on our visit last year whilst we were sitting admiring the view on the boardwalk we ended up making a booking to stay at Glenville this last March for 3 weeks, what a wonderful stay..... we had the warmest of greetings from Barbara then we were shown to our accommodation for our stay, a one bedroom cottage..... air conditioned with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay and may I add.... spotless.....thanks to Deb The grounds are wonderful, trees, flowers,a spot to gather and sit outside if you wish, though your accommodation has a nice private patio. A couple of minutes walk and you are on the boardwalk by the sea and beaches, Lanterns Mall close by and restuarants of every description and taste within walking distance. Glenville Gardens is safe and secure and a wonderful place to stay on the beautiful Island of Barbados....... a slice of Barbara's banana loaf with a nice afternoon cup of tea on the patio in lovely surroundings what more can I say.

Glenville Gardens is a delightful place to enjoy an air conditioned fully equipped one bedroom cottage vacation in Barbados. It is conveniently located within a seven minute walk to the beach, and numerous restaurants. The grounds have a large variety of local plants and fruits and are neatly manicured and well maintained. The owner operators are Barbara, and Sukeram, both of whom take a keen interest in ensuring their guests are well taken care of and are enjoying their visit to Barbados. If you are lucky, as we were, Barbara might be encouraged to share some of her home baked and very tasty banana bread with you.
