It was an amazing stay, We were warmly greeted upon our arrival, by our gracious and helpful host Barbara, from my first communication with her to the end of our stay, Barbara was the perfect host. There were 5 adults travelling together. We rented 2 one level cottages, one with two bedrooms the other with one. Both were quaint, impeccably clean, and very well equipped. We felt comfortable slept well with the a/c units in each bedrooms. The grounds were manicured offering a variety of flower bushes, towering greenery and matured trees which made you feel relaxed right away.
The property is ideally located, within walking distance to all the necessities, groceries, pharmacy, miscellaneous stores, great restaurants and of course the beach with its boardwalk is less than a 5 minute walk.
We felt confortable to ride the buses to Bridgetown and even walked there one day it’s really not that far.
the only thing you may need is a hair dryer as they are not supplied in the units but beach towels are.
In my opinion we couldn’t have found a better place and will be returning in 2024!

Glenville Gardens is by far one of the cleanest well appointed accommodations we have stayed in. I clean every accommodation upon arrival. It would have been pointless here, everything was sparkling. Anything you need and what you don't know you need is there. We have travelled a fair bit and stayed in many 5* locations and I have never seen anywhere as clean as we found the cottage and surroundings. Every detail has been so well thought out. The host Barbara is one of the bests hosts you could ever ask for and everyone is so friendly. In passing I mentioned how much we love the place, the only thing was the bedroom fan was slightly noisy for a light sleeper. Do you know that when we got back later that day that a brand new extremely quiet fan had been installed. Now that is a host that truly cares about her guests total experience. From the time you step beyond the gates you feel safe and tranquil in the lovely gardens. You could never go wrong choosing this location for a multitude of reasons. Barbara thanks so much for creating such a caring and comfortable environment, special thanks for the absolutely delicious banana /coconut bread you baked , an incredibly nice touch. If we could give 10 stars we would.

I almost don’t even have the words to describe how much we love staying at Glenville Gardens. Barbara and Sugrim are the most kindhearted “hosts” I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Their property is absolutely stunning, beautiful gardens and a lovely place to hang/relax/bbq (and wait for the monkeys to come by) when your not at the beach which is only a 5 min walk away. Deborah (the cleaning lady) is also just as friendly and does a fabulous job keeping things tidy and clean. We have stayed both in Heather and Estelle Cottages. Both have more than enough room for two couples and are just perfect for you stay. It’s also within walking distance to so many great shops and restaurants. Anyone thinking of staying here should never question it, just book and enjoy!!
Can’t wait to visit again.....my favourite place on earth!! 🇧🇧 ❤️

Our family had a beautiful and welcoming experience at Glenville Gardens. Each cottage is equipped with everything you might need. We kept finding thoughtful touches throughout. The housekeeper and groundskeeper were both very capable and professional. There are fruit trees all around and the gardens are well kept.

It's close to beaches, the boardwalk, the main strip where you can catch the bus to Oistins Fish Market, the st. Lawrence Gap, or the airport. We will absolutely be going back and would happily recommend it to other visitors to this stunning Island.

After a chance meeting and conversation Sugrim { the owner of Glenville Gardens along with his wife Barbara} on our visit last year whilst we were sitting admiring the view on the boardwalk we ended up making a booking to stay at Glenville this last March for 3 weeks, what a wonderful stay..... we had the warmest of greetings from Barbara then we were shown to our accommodation for our stay, a one bedroom cottage..... air conditioned with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay and may I add.... spotless.....thanks to Deb
The grounds are wonderful, trees, flowers,a spot to gather and sit outside if you wish, though your accommodation has a nice private patio.
A couple of minutes walk and you are on the boardwalk by the sea and beaches, Lanterns Mall close by and restuarants of every description and taste within walking distance.
Glenville Gardens is safe and secure and a wonderful place to stay on the beautiful Island of Barbados....... a slice of Barbara's banana loaf with a nice afternoon cup of tea on the patio in lovely surroundings what more can I say.

It was our Greatest Vacation that we ever had at Glenville Gardens in Barbados, my Husband & I have been to several 5 ** all inclusive vacation destinations & this experience of tranquility & luscious grounds of so many different plants & gardens along with the precious & sacred animal life is by far better than anything we have experienced. As soon as you walk through the gates your eyes aren't sure where to go first! Of course you are always greeted by Barbara (owner, entrepreneur) with such warm greetings & then you are taken to your cottage & we are so very fortunate to experience the Estelle Cottage where it was the cleanest, freshest & stocked for your first coffee in the morning until you get a chance to go to get groceries for your stay. I was so overwhelmed by the cottage & the grounds that I just wanted to take everything in and absorb my surroundings, every single day was like that & we won't go anywhere else to stay as long as Barbara & her husband Sugrim (who is also the most gracious & kind man) will have us!! We fell in love with them & Deborah the wonderful & kind lady in charge of making your stay so amazingly spotless & just will do anything for you, she is such a Gem at the Gardens. I honestly could go on & on about the sharing of this treasure & Barbara & Sugrim's knowledge & comfort that OI tell everyone about it & show pictures of everything, even my Doctor wants to go there but thankfully we are there again next year for 3 weeks to enjoy the family & gorgeous spot with everything close to us & it is safe & wonderful that we can't wait to get back there & see Barbara, Sugrim, Deborah & our little turtles, monkeys, chickens, beautiful birds & exquisite gardens & herbs, etc. we miss you all & send lots of love & hope to see you here in the summer & delicious recipes that turned out amazing
Always Scott & Barb

We have just returned from 2-1/2 weeks in the charming Estelle cottage at this wonderful vacation property. Owner-managers Barbara and Sugrim have created a magical oasis with independent guest cottages on their large private garden property, a short stroll from the Hastings Boardwalk and Accra Beach. We were warmly and graciously welcomed and enjoyed chatting with our hosts and other guests. The friendly atmosphere was reminiscent of a B&B but with our own private cottage and space. If we had built our own dream cottage in Barbados, it would not have been much different than Estelle. The decor was cozy and comfortable, with a well appointed kitchen and access to laundry facilities. Bedrooms and porches looked out over the well kept tropical gardens. AC was available in the bedrooms, but mostly we kept the windows open and allowed the breeze to cool the cottage at night; this also lets in the songs of tree frogs and the local birds. The cottage did get rather warm during the day without the AC, but that is to be expected in the tropics, and it was what we came for! Most evenings we cooked dinner on the shared barbecue and ate outdoors on our balcony. We enjoyed the beautiful gardens and were impressed with how the foliage has been arranged to give the cottage its own privacy. We were delighted to observe Sara the tortoise on several occasions, as well as a well-camouflaged green parrot, and we once glimpsed a pair of monkeys scurrying over the garden wall. We also made friends with the resident pair of chickens. The location is good for access to shopping, with a plaza / food court nearby containing a convenience store / grocery, bank, wine shop etc. The Hastings farmer's market is just a stone's throw away, and we could walk to the Massy supermarket in 20 min (free ride back with their courtesy shuttle!). The entrance gate is kept locked, and the on-site presence of owner/managers gave the property a very secure feeling without being imposingly so. The provision of beach towels was greatly appreciated. We shared the cottage with another couple and it did not feel too crowded - having 2 bathrooms and enjoying the quiet outdoor areas added to a feeling of a generous space.

The fantastic reviews of this property are all true. Each cottage is private, well equipped, the beds are comfortable and the cottages and grounds are absolutely spotless, which for me, is really important. Barbara and Sugrim are delightful hosts who go out of their way to be of service. Over the wonderful 2 weeks we spent here I tried to think to something that would improve the cottages/site/ or facilities. I could not think of a single improvement! Absolutely perfect in every way. It was with deep sadness, at the gate, of Glenville Gardens I bid both Barbara and Sugrim farewell.
You will not be disappointed if you choose this piece of paradise for you vacation.

This was our first stay at Granville Gardens after coming across it on our holiday to Barbados in 2016. We were not disappointed we stayed in Heather Cottage which was home from home surrounded by tranquil gardens. Barbara and Sugrim the owners are wonderful hosts. Barbara even making us homemade chicken soup when unfortunately we became ill with flu along with the customary banana cake and homemade bread. Their hospitality and kindness was second to none. It is a perfect location just minutes from the beach and within walking distance of bars and restaurants. A perfect location in Barbados.

The pictures and comments although glowing, don't do full justice to how nice a spot this is to stay, relax, unwind and rejuvenate . We were lucky enough to spend 16 days with Barbara and Sugrim and loved every minute. They are delightful hosts, always close at hand if you need something but never interfering.
Location, location, location... perfectly situation close to everything that you need from beaches, to stores, banks, restaurants. Almost everything is within 2-5 minutes walk. The cottages are well equipped with pots, pans, dishes, utensils etc. We enjoyed cooking and using the BBQ and we everything we needed to make great meals.
The cottages are spotless - I do mean spotless! also comfortable, great Wi-Fi and satellite TV.
It's the grounds that that are so beautiful...the chickens, occasional monkeys, wild parrots, turtles. We have already booked again. LOVED IT
