Dennis and Paula made my gf and I feel welcomed. The guest house is at the main activity spot in Barbados. The area is safe near to the main amenities u wish for. The guest house is clean. Its deal if you are planning to be moving about Barbados. Will return with out a doubt Joe

Barbados is generally very expensive, but for $40 a night I was expecting a nicer place. NO A/C! I repeat. NO A/C! Barbados is very hot and humid, and to have a single 1984 fan blowing on you is unacceptable. I stay in hostels all over the world and for $7 in Belize I had a nicer room with A/C!...

There is nothing luxurious about the Rio, but as long as you enter with proper expectations it will meet your needs for a pleasant stay in Barbados. The location is convenient to the beach, restaurants and nightlife in St Lawrence Gap, and bus stops for a cheap ride to anywhere else on the island. The Rio is just off the...

This is a WONDERFUL place to stay :) The location is a bit in the ghetto, but it's literally 2 minutes away from the very expensive resorts that line Dover Beach, one of THE BEST beaches in Barbados. The owners are LOVELY people, and very accommodating! I arrived with a party of 7 and we were placed in "Evelyn's Apartment"...

We chose this as it is close to the airport, has restaurants and so on nearby, and is not as pricey as others when we just wanted a room for the night. Likely the least accommodation value we had in 3 weeks travelling in the Grenadines, but that is the price of Barbados. The room was basic with a fan,...

Let's start with the positives (the reasons I gave two stars instead of one): it has good location, cheap and has a communal kitchen, allowing cheaper meals. But you should be aware of the following: 1. There is one bathroom for the 11 (!) rooms, which has BOTH the shower and toilet. If someone takes long shower, everybody has to...

Loved the use of the kitchen and the provided coffee. Friendly and helpful staff, and they sell local beer on site at the best available price. Room was basic, comfortable, and affordable. Screens in the windows were great. I stayed here based on reviews of others saying it was a good place to meet other travelers, and this proved quite...

The owner is very warm and friendly. Rio is pretty affordable and quiet despite being well located in St. Lawrence gap. Close to very nice bars and restaurants for all price range, small shopping boutiques, Dover beach and the bus-stops as well. It is pretty clean, has a kitchen if you need to cook and neat as well. AC is...

A super friendly guesthouse. Literally a 2 min walk to the beach, this is a great choice for budget-style accommodation. The rooms are lovely, singles or doubles and they have a nice balcony that you can relax on. There is also a kitchen if you want to cook. The location is brilliant. A 5 min walk to all of the...

This is definitely a budget place, but you won't be disappointed - it is warm, friendly, inviting and a place you will want to go back to again and again as it becomes a home away from home. I went to this place several times and was welcomed every time, and made good friends there as people were happy to...
