The highlight of my stay was the staff. I have never seen people work so hard, for so long and still have a smile on their faces. I got to Sol Cayo Guillermo on sunday the 27th. I stayed 6 nights there, I have never seen one show, never heard any music. It was sooo quiet, kinda boring. I understand... More

We have just got home today from spending 2wks at this hotel, firstly I have to say the staff are faultless they fall over backwards to help. The rooms are quiet good only thing we were sorry about no kettle to make a hot drink you could pay an upgrade for one if wanted. The pool area was good and... More

Love the cappuccinos in the mornings. Food well it ok. Small resort. Very relaxing. Make sure you get room in the 700 series. Close to Entertainment. Bar open 24 hours (where we had our Cappucinos early am) Pool and some facing ocean. Very cozy. I really don't recommend the market which cost 5 pesos bus return. Very hot and you... More

First time I been to Cuba, I was suggested Sol Cayo Guillermo if i wanted to relax my worries away! The staff are smiling all the time, they are very friendly with everyone, they are amazing with children. Clientele is more older, families, calm individuals. First of all, I think it is vital to say that this is an honest review. We travelled in mid Sept 2016. Check in was pretty quick considering we were a full coach and we were given a lovely bungalow which was just as we remembered, but with a new air con which was excellent and easy to use. The... I just got back from a great trip to SCG. It was a very good vacation because: - The Hotel grounds are gorgeous, green, flowery and well-kept. - The rooms / bungalows are really nicely laid out, whether top floor or ground floor. - The newly-widened beach is great. The wooden sunshades are pretty and plenty. - The staff are... More

We have just returned from our 3rd and final visit to SCG, we are saddened by the decline, especially in the last 2 years since our last visit. The hotel is tired and neglected & in urgent need of some serious TLC. The wonderful staff are de-moralised and are unable to do their jobs properly due to the lack of... More

We stayed here during the hurricane Matthew. The hotel did their best unlike Thomas Cook, who abandoned us and didn't care at all! The reception staff are clueless and only refer you to the customer service manager every time. They have no purpose. The hotel is well planned and has private space across the grounds.
