Just a little story about this place where I stayed for one single night. I was driving from Orléans to La Rochelle Lagord and running late, I called them at 9pm asking if I could count on them to prepare me something to eat to avoid me having to stop on the motorway and eat terrible food and get more...

We stayed here on our way to Mont St Michel, good location to stop at on the way up the coast. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and the staff were very helpful. Would recommend, especially if you are driving.

We booked 5 months in advance, 2 rooms for my 86 yr old mother in law and my husband and I. We requested a quiet, ground floor room with a shower as my mother in law is unable to manage stairs or a bath. We ended up with Rooms 1 & 2 beside the restaurant which was noisy. Room 1...

This Chateau is really only a hotel. Pleasant enough but not the spa and dining experience that we had expected. The restaurant is ok but with a limited menu. Breakfast is a bit hit and miss - especially if more than ten people are trying to serve themselves at the same time. They ran out of meats, plates, bread and...

Facade is that of a beautiful chateau but this the photos belie the interior of a relatively cheap business hotel with the level of staffing and maintenance to go with it. Location is poor and although the hotel has a nice garden this is very poorly maintained with dirty unkempt furniture

We booked 3 nights in this hotel in February, to stay in September we had a phone call and an email the day before we were travelling to say we could only stay 2 nights as there was a wedding. We had to move our 3rd night to another hotel. The hotel is lovely from the outside inside the corridors/paintwork/carpet were...

Behind de classic façade of a chateau, the hotel is quite modern and offers nice rooms. The superior room we had booked for three nights was located on the top floor with the roof structure visible but apart from that very present day furniture, a nice bathroom with shower and a separate toilet. Breakfast is OK, not the full option...

Breakfast poor, hotel not maintained, located in the middle of nowhere. Best thing was the fish restaurants about 5 miles away. If staying more than one night stay in La Rochelle or another town nearby

This was a four-star hotel in its facilities only and these (especially the spa) could do with updating. It was generally understaffed and we never felt as if those present strived to please. The breakfast was good, although the one waitress was not able to keep the buffet topped up sufficiently and things like cold milk for cereal had to...

In the past we have always stayed in La Rochelle, but I stumbled on this place while I was looking to book online. This is a gorgeous hotel......a chateau that has been converted into an hotel. Our room.....room 5 is the standard room and it's huge, has a decent size bathroom with separate loo.. The bed is extremely comfortable. Dinner...
