A friendly welcome from Val and Mark. Comfortable double bed, clean modern en-suite. Milk and juice in fridge and welcome slices of home made cake. Excellent breakfast - especially Mark's porridge. Lots of Mark's bird photographs on the walls - showing us how it should be done! An enjoyable stay, we hope to return.

We stayed with mark and val for one night on a 10 day motorbike of scotland that included the nc500 route. Our stay at Glentorets was superb. No negatives what so ever. We stayed in 9 places and this was the best of all of them all . Superb room, comfy bed, extras like cake in room, chocy biscuits, fruit...

I used this place as a stopover on my last night in Scotland to be close to the airport and pack, but should have stayed longer. This B&B is superb - quick Internet, comfortable room and mattresses, friendly hosts and yummy breakfast. Couldn't ask for more. Tomintoul itself is a nice village - off the more crowded touristy locations like...
