I don't know why anyone would need to stay in Filisur, but apparently this hotel decided to make the most of those that do. It is one of the worst places in terms of the quality of the interior design I have been to in the last 30 years. Cheap is the main theme. Add to this a grumpy owner... More

The Hotel Schoental is situated just a five minute walk downhill from Filisur railway station, there is a sign to your left for the hotel as you exit track one. The path is quite steep but negotiable easily enough with wheeled luggage and it leads you virtually to the door of the hotel. The return journey takes a little longer... More

This hotel know the fine print in the contract and do not expect any extra service or willingness to find a solution that could keep both the hotel and the guest happy. I never got to stay in this hotel, but I booked a room here in May 2015 for a six days stay in January 2016, during the World... More

Dear Guest , the rooms for the World Economic in this region are very busy, there are many guest and not enough hotel rooms which is closed to Davos. Our hotel is not so far away from Davos. Normally the guests booked very early by us for the WEF period . If somebody books one room, then it will be... More

This lovely hotel is conveniently located for a stop along the Via Albula/Bernina hiking route and along the famous Rhaetian Railway. It is a short walk through the pretty town. The building is modern from the outside and very cozy inside, especially the charming dining room which serves delicious local specialties for dinner. Breakfast is also tasty, of excellent quality... Owners Marcus and Ericka have taken great care to entertain their guests with clever quotes on the bathroom walls and fine art from local artists. Handmade quirks abound. But nothing, nothing trumps the spectacular valley views from my room's balcony. The hotel is located down the mountain on a partially paved path from the train station (Marcus will give you... Travelling on the Glacier Express we decided to stay one night at Schöntal. We were very happy with our choice of Hotel Schöntal. We were greeted warmly and very friendly on arrival. The rooms are very clean, spacious and furnished simply but comfortably. The bath room was simple, also very clean. This hotel is excellent value for money and a... More

We came here for a long weekend with our two boys (3 and 8). We were very happy with the hotel. It is nicely situated in a ski area (there is no skiing in Filisur but you can drive or take the (free) train to Davos, Klosters, St. Moritz, or Savognin (great for families). Or you can go to Berguen... More

We liked it so much last year that we came again. This time we were in the new part of the building, which is much more conventional than the old part. Not that the warm-hearted owners are hot on convention! The menus are still on rolling pins and there are little rocks with footpath signs on them showing the way... More

Hotel Schöntal in Filisur has a modern (not so attractive) building in this nice village in Albula valley. The rooms are well furnished, nicely clean. Hotel Schöntal is a delightful family-run hotel. I was greeted very warmly and made to feel welcome throughout my stay.
