Staying at HOME FARM, taking daily hikes with Michael exploring the breathtaking coastline and its fascinating history proved to be one of our best vacations. We stayed in the farm house in a cosy, well appointed room with all amenities. We left on our journey each morning after being fed a full breakfast and presented with a box lunch to... More

Just returned from wonderful, re-energising week at Home farm. Alison & Michael are excellent hosts, providing a very warm welcome to their home. Alison`s culinary skills & love of food shines through every meal she prepares & nothing is too much trouble from the lovely home made cakes which magically appeared each afternoon on our return from our walks to... Home Farm offers a wonderful and unique experience for anyone who loves walking, food, being with like-minded people and really just getting away from it all. Ali and Michael are the perfect hosts, welcoming us into their home with open arms. Home Farm is situated in Welcombe near the north Cornwall-Devon border and is just minutes from the ocean. This... My cousin and I, knew we wanted to tour the Cornwall/Devon area, and thought about a walking tour. Brilliant idea for us to choose Home Farm! From the moment we arrived, greeted by our lovely hosts, Michael and Ali, we felt at home. Our room was lovely, the beds so comfortable, the view out onto the yard gorgeous. Our own... More

As a new retiree, I can't imagine a better way to begin the process of transitioning from one life to another - the hikes were glorious, the activity vigorous but not exhausting, the food amazing, the company of other hikers interesting, and the time alone to decompress just right. Home Farm offers healthy activity, healthy AND delicious food, and a... More

"Heaven for a gluten-free foodie" My daughter and I just returned from a walking holiday at ”Home Farm,” a delightful, cozy retreat in the English countryside. Michael and Ali have created a wonderful and unique holiday. Michael plans the daily walks in the Devon/Cornwall area according to what the group wants. Most days included a stop mid-day at a local... More

All I can do is echo what others have posted here. Comfortable accommodations in a quiet location, close to the coastal path, with excellent meals every evening, and a choice of packed lunches every day. Michael and Ali are wonderful hosts, the walking is gorgeous (bring your poles - it's hilly!), and the hiking companions are congenial. Late afternoon tea... More

I booked this tour after reading all the reviews and it was even better than I hoped. As other reviews indicate, Michael and Ali are excellent hosts. The walks were interesting and informative and most of all, offered beautiful scenery. We walked from 6-9 miles daily and it was very doable for anyone in reasonably good shape of retirement age....
