A refreshing change after 20 days on the beautiful beaches of Costa Rica, The resort is owned by gentleman named Joel, a Canadian from Quebec and later Vancouver. The meals were some of the best I experienced in Costa Rica, all locally grown or reared in the area. The lodge is green beyond my expectations. Couches made out of 45...

My sister and I stayed at Celeste Mountain lodge the beginning of February 2017. When we first arrived we made it in time for an incredible lunch. The lunches and dinner were incredible! And the owner was very helpful in helping us arrange anything we wanted to do. You could see his passion for his lodge as he walked around...

3 nights at the Mountain Lodge was a great way to start our 16 day first visit to Costa Rica. Great hiking available. Don't miss the night hike in the lodge's own trail. Saw 2 Fir de Lance snakes! Enjoy

Totally eco-friendly, up to date maintenance, style and comfort. Food is fantastic and abundant. Staff is very friendly and always willing to assist and be helpful. Very reasonable rates. Only 10 km from the Volcano Tenorio National Park and Waterfall.

Thank you Jim for your great comments. Just a small rectification, we are at 5 km from the entrance of the park. And they are redoing our (previously quite bumpy) road, now transit is much easier in the area. Cheers

To say we were surprised by this hotel is an under statement. The owner Joel whose remarkable vision and effort led to this enduring testament to his dream of an eco friendly hotel. Our room was spacious and very modern, spotlessly clean and had a first rate shower with plenty of hot water. The food was always excellent and was accompanied by Joel giving...

If you're looking for a comfortable, convenient, congenial but unsophisticated base from which to launch birding and hiking forays into the forest, this lodge may be for you. First impressions are of an adult youth-hostel type building, with meals taken at long tables and bedrooms fairly stark but very adequate. Note the owner Joel is proud that there's not a...

Such a great place! Stayed with two friends (who have very exclusive taste) over New Years week. Super place, phenomenal people, gorgeous landscaping, food was incredible (even made us an eco-friendly, delicious box lunch when we had to leave early the next morning). Environment welcomes interaction with other guests, but also gives plenty of space for privacy and quiet time....

Celeste Mountain Lodge is a true gem and not to be missed. My husband and I happened upon it when we were headed to do some hiking in the region. We were only able to stay the night, but plan to go back and stay there for the entire duration of our trip next time. Our host pays attention to...

It rained for three straight days, but we still loved our stay at Celeste Mtn Lodge. The setting up on the side of the mountain is spectacular, with a great garden down below the very comfortable rooms at the lodge. Three meals a day, and the food was great! We hiked up to and back from the entrance to the...

Gorgeous ecolodge. For those looking for extreme luxury, this is not your place, but if you're looking for good comfort, serious ecological standards, a gorgeous view, and delicious food, Celeste Mountain Lodge is wonderful. The rooms are comfortable but not luxurious. The view, though, is spectacular. The lounge and dining areas, full of plants an open to the garden and...
