Glenora, the hostess with the mostess. She is so friendly and helpful. The cabins are clean, and a good value, beds are comfy with all the needed amenities. Would recommend. Located close to lance au meadows, with great options nearby for food. A fire pit would be nice to add to the experience tho
Passed by this place plenty of times and ended up here when another place close to Lanse Aux Meadows was full and a staff suggested here. Were glad she recommended this place and actually phoned our friends to tell them our find. Just minutes away from the UNESCO Site and it would be a great place in spring, early summer to go and see the Bergs. Great little kitchen, off the road just enough so passing traffic would not interfere. (we had cabin 8,wheelchair accessible not that we needed it but still great.) Price was great and we look forward to spring and Iceberg time to visit again.
When in the area this is our 'goto' place. Solid cabins, reasonably sized. Kitchenette for when you don't want to go out for dinner. Friendly staff who try hard to make your visit pleasant. The internet works but gets slow when all of the cabins are full. Overall a good base for visiting the local area. Keep an eye out for moose in the late evenings and early mornings.
The cabin was comfortable and quiet. The interior had many upgrades and all the facilities needed to cook, was and sleep. Location was great and supplied easy access to numerous spots to visit. Certainly well worth a stay.
The cabins are OK, although they do not have a quality look or feel. The location is not bad, only 10 minutes to L'Anse aux Meadows and 25 minutes to St. Anthony. There are a few restaurants and stores nearby, but not within walking distance. There was a musty smell in the bathroom, there must have been water damage there at some point, it smelled like mould. The bug screens in the windows of the 2 bedrooms and the living room had gaps big enough for bugs to get in so we could not keep the mosquitos out. This should definitely be addressed, because our friends in a different unit had the same problem. The kitchen seemed new and had some utensils, the bedrooms were fine. Overall we had a decent stay for 2 nights. More "fire-drums" (and old washer drum) are needed, we got our hands on the only one!…
