Nice double room, engaging hosts, good location in Dufftown where you could walk to the Glenfiddich Distillery. Engaging hosts who provided good suggestions for sightseeing and a dram of whiskey in the room.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dunvegan, the hospitality was great. The room was clean and comfortable. It was nice having the wifi too to keep in touch with home. It's a great location, very quiet at night. The breakfast was delicious and they made us feel very welcome. We would highly recommend this to people who plan to stay...

We stayed for three nights everything was lovely quiet, comfortable with a good breakfast and very nice hosts we would recommend it and certainly stay there again. It is nicely situated in the centre of the town and within easy access to the distilleries for tours and the hills for walking.

When we arrived at Dunvegan, we received an enthusiastic welcome from Stuart, who showed us our room and gave us some dinner ideas in the area. Included in the room is a small decanter of complimentary whiskey. Parking was on the street outside the B&B. Stuart said that they would be able to set up whiskey tours for us the...

We were a group of 7 person staying at 3 nights at dunwegans during our whisky tour. We felt were welcome and enjoyed every minute of Helens and Stuart's hospitality and friendliness. One example, when we had troubles getting taxi, they even offered to drive some of us to the place we were going to. That is carrying and service...

Helen and Stuart are wonderful hosts. The room was clean, spacious, quiet, and very comfortable. The smoked salmon Helen prepared for breakfast was outstanding. Stuart's recommendations on what to see and do were excellent. We might have missed one of our favorite tours, the Speyside Cooperage, had he not recommended it. They provided the perfect balance between privacy and helpfulness....

Helen and Stuart offer stunning service. Cozy and friendly atmosphere. The rooms are clean and pleasant. And the breakfast is very good. This place is highly recommended. Here you will also stay in walking distance from the distilleries Glenfiddich and Balvenie. And you also stay in the world's whisky capital

We chose this B&B as walking distance from Glenfiddich Distillery. In the event, the walks around Dufftown were the high point. We had a well set up twin share room with private bathroom and our hosts could not have been more helpful, lending us guidebooks and even ringing to book a tour for us.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At Dunvegan Bed and Breakfast close to the centre of Dufftown your hosts Stuart & Helen aim to offer you first class comfort and hospitality. Dunvegan is a large stone built 19th-century house located close to the centre of Dufftown - The Malt Whisky Capital of the World. Dufftown nestles in a valley dominated by Ben Rinnes (840m/2755ft) and has the highest concentration of distilleries anywhere in Scotland. An old saying was "Rome was built on seven hills but Dufftown’s built on seven stills;" this no longer applies as there are now nine. Apart from distilleries Dufftown has something for everyone - golf, fishing, walking, wildlife, history, skiing and much more. At the end of your day exploring everything Dufftown and the surrounding area has to offer return to Dunvegan where all our rooms have comfortable beds and TV, tea/coffee making facilities, central heating and for your comfort in winter, electric blankets. We can offer 2 x double, en-suite rooms and a twin room with private facilities. We also offer our guests free WiFi internet connection. There is also a Residents lounge where you can sit and watch television, read the literature about Dufftown and its surrounding area or enjoy a conversation with fellow travellers. We also serve evening meals but these must be booked prior to arrival. ... more   less
