This hotel was perfect. Our ground floor studio on the beach front had everything we needed and was clean. From our patio we could step onto the beautiful sandy beach and I enjoyed sleeping and waking to the sound of the waves crashing onto the beach. On our second night baby turtles hatched on the beach and lost their way to the shore and my daughter and I caught them and took them to the sea which was a humbling experience. On another night, we witnessed a large female turtle come to shore and lay her eggs which she buried into the beach, a truly amazing experience. The staff were kind and attentive and were happy to answer all my questions no matter how many times I sought their advise. Both pools at Coral Mist and Blue Orchid the sister hotel next door were available to us and although they were not very large they were perfect for our needs and very clean. I would definitely stay here again as it is very good value for money considering the great beach front location on one side and a high street on the other that had everything we needed including a petrol station, supermarket and Mojo’s bar and restaurant that served great food and cocktails. Also, Shakers is a short walk away (5-10 mins) with great local food and atmosphere. St Lawrence Gap (Cocktail Kitchen is a must and arguably the best restaurant that I visited on the Island)and Oistins (best open air fish restaurants on the Island) were a short bus ride away. I thoroughly enjoyed riding the bus with their great music and drivers whose local knowledge guided us to wherever we wanted to go, they were very safe and accessible. I would definitely stay at Coral Mist Beach Hotel again!

we booked a 3 person bedroom and basically we had 2 beds and one folding bed what I have to criticise for that amount of money

first the bad side: in my opinion the staff could be better. we once booked a tour and we had no clue if we had paid a fee for organising or if that was already part of the payment. also the breakfast was quite sad. we only went for breakfast there but the portions were small and not always the same size (bacon strips were 3 but in the end only 2 ) and once a staff member spilled a hot chocolate all over the table because his own fault (hold the tablet with the glasses wrong) and gave us the feeling it was our fault and then they even tried to make us pay for it. At least the other staff member apologized for him and told us he had a bad day...

all in all the location couldn't be better and the beach is just perfect. The rooms were always cleaned perfectly and the cleaning staff was always friendly and reliable. even if you spent half the day in the room, they would have cleaned it afterwards and not only in the morning. The beach benches were aalible for al hotel users and first come first serve but with a 20min left alone policy so the benches wouldn't be taken all day by persons dong tours and wanting to use them in the afternoon. The waves were quite big and fun to swim in but probably to big for small children. i think you were also able to borrow a kajak which is nice

It is not the most modern hotel, however, the rooms are pretty big, AC with a small discreet kitchenette, with toaster, kettle, coffee machine, microwave and full size frig with a big freezer and more importantly ice cube trays with ice cubes in them. Someone said it was shabby, not so, the floor lamps and side lamps are all soilid wood. Really exceptionally comfortable beds. Indoor and outdoor table & chairs. The floor to ceiling curtains have a black out lining, so most light is blacked out, it is a treat to see the curtains partly open and then the backdrop of the sea which mirror the curtains. The rooms are cleaned contantly, we opt for about 3 times a week. The pools are great and plenty of beds with cushions. The little onsite eaterie is lovely with helpful staff.and does simple food. All the staff are lovely and friendly. Just look at the pool views. There is a sometimes noisy road at the front of the hotel but if you keep the bathroom door closed it doesn't make that much noise. It is also difficult to think if it is the road making the noise or the surf. A tip, little mini busses come along so you wave them down and hop on fast and off fastish and it is a set fee, they are great fun with awful music which is too loud. They usually have destination names at the front, do not be alarmed they are quite safe and the norm.

This hotel has a lot of plus points. Not least it's situation near a beautiful beach. My wife and I stayed for 14 nights. We booked a deluxe studio. The website show photos of great ocean views from the studio rooms. The description reads
"Very airy and spacious. Overlooking the white sandy beach and deep blue ocean. Private patio"
On arrival, we were allocated a 4th-floor room with a building between our balcony and the sea. (see my photos) We were very disappointed as the one thing we were looking forward to was sitting on a private balcony and taking in the beach and sea. The lift was out of action.
After a fair amount of persistence, the next day we were offered a ground floor room. This was one room away from the bar/restaurant. Problems here included noisy staff at 7 in the morning, shouting and banging stuff around as they prepared breakfasts. Our room, 105, had a very public pato. People walked by all day long, some wanting to talk, others just looking in. The view was poor too.
The room was ok, a bit tired and no one could call the bathroom sparkling clean. The bed was very comfy, fresh towels every day and good wi-fi.
It was lucky we were woken early as it was necessary to claim beach sunbeds and an umbrella as they put out around 7.30 to 8 am. I hated being reduced to such tactics. There were 12 beach umbrellas in total for the two hotels, about 60 rooms.
The beach is lovely and was always clean. The staff are friendly.
The pool is smallish but clean.
Whilst the hotel's situated one an amazing beach the area around is very scruffy with horrendous pavements. My advice is to not leave the hotel on foot in the dark due to the poor pavements. Not only are the pavements uneven and potholed, but in many places, they are very narrow (single file only) and one trip could take you into the very busy road.
If we could be sure of getting a decent room we would stay again, However the hotel will not take bookings for specific rooms. Blue Orchids, the sister hotel will do.
Overall very poor value. We could have stayed at a much better hotel for the price had we not wanted a sea view.

I stayed at the Coral Mist for 10 nights arriving on New Years Day check in was easy and I thought all was good in the world until I got to our room B106 which is situated right next to the bar which as an area for outside dining and one of the tables as an unobstructed view straight in to the room so every time you get changed you have to close the curtains. I went to reception and was told the hotel was 100% full and I would have to go back the following day which I did and was offered a room with a view straight at a brick wall so we decided to stay in B106 because to be fair it was virtually right on the beach . The other problem with that room is the bar staff arrive at 6-15am and let everyone know they are there not giving a second thought that someone might be asleep next door I had to call reception to ask them to keep the noise down . Back to the hotel in general it’s a bit tired but nothing bad rooms cleaned every day and laundry changed daily. Sinita on front desk very helpful and Reggie the tour organiser a real gentleman who managed to get my sunglasses back for me after leaving them in our hire car . The great thing about the hotel is the beach it’s just beautiful and Andre the beach attendant can’t do enough for you . All in all a great holiday apart from the room noisy staff early in the morning.

Fantastic location on the beach. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Clean linen every 3rd day, fresh towels whenever you want, beach towels supplied.
Reggie the concierge great character and also helpful.
Generally this hotel is 'tired round the edges' and could do with a makeover. A coat of paint and upgrading the bathrooms is really needed and the self catering facilities in the kitchens are pretty dire. The cooker looked as if it had been rescued from the dump.
There is a small restaurant but we didn't use it.
On the positive .... this is a very good value 3 star hotel with a 5 star location. You literally step off the terrace onto the beach, Good beds with decent cushions. We had no problem getting a bed at anytime of the day and never had to go out early to reserve a bed. In fact the policy of moving towels off beds that were not in use was used so anyone who tried it on quickly got the message.
There are several places to eat within a 5 to 15 minute walk. Bus stop right outside the hotel if you want to go further afield.

Having always stayed A/I when visiting Barbados this time we opted for room only to experience more of the eateries around. Coral Mist had a fabulous location, on the beach, amazing views and importantly the room was kept spotless. Lots of places to eat nearby and a 20 minute walk from the gap, Worthing food court few minutes away.Clean towels every day.
While we enjoyed the hotel we felt more cld have been put on for guests. There was no entertainment at all, no managers party, the week we were there anyway and almost all other hotels put this on. The bar/ restaurant closed at 6pm each day so no chance to meet and socialise with fellow guests except for on the beach or pool area. All prices have gone up but the price of drinks and food was exorbitant. 2 rum punches and 2 small ( not even 1/2 pint,) banks beers 44 barbadian dollars! Bear in mind these are brewed on the island and even nearby bars sold them alot cheaper. No wonder the bar closed at 6pm.
Staff were lovely and helpful apart from the one receptionist on duty when we arrived. Quite surly and not much of a welcome, the other receptionists were lovely and helpful.
The seaweed, sargassum, was evident on the beach and I do feel with all the taxes paid to hotels and Government a scheme cld be organised providing work in each locality to pick the seaweed up.
I wld opt for A/I again next time simply for the entertainment, choices of food and bar to be open at night.

My husband and I booked a last minute trip to Barbados. When it came to booking a hotel there was very limited choice. I personally prefer to stay in more of a resort style hotel with better amenities but nothing fitting that description was available so we decided to stay at the Coral Mist. My husband had actually stayed here as a child, and my in laws have stayed here several times so it was recommended.

We booked direct with the hotel and we paid $200US less than we would have if we booked through booking.com.

For the price this hotel is good value for money.

We stayed in a studio room on the ground floor. The room although a little dated was extremely clean, had air conditioning, a kitchen, wardrobe space, plugs either side of the bed, a modern television. The best part of our room is was that you open up the patio doors and you are just a few steps from the beach. When you sleep you can hear the waves at night. The beds are very comfortable also.

The beach here is great, lots of sun loungers available. All set up with umbrellas and tables. The sun loungers provided are the good ones with the cushions. I love Coral Mists private beach.

I didn’t swim during my stay as I don’t believe the pools are heated and felt very cold but you do have the option of two pools with is great.

Staff are very friendly. I’ve seen other posts saying that the staff are not friendly which I have not experienced at all. The lady on reception is lovely and the grounds staff are very nice also. The house keepers are fantastic. Every day when we have retuned our room has been cleaned. Bed made, floors mopped every day.

I didn’t use the bar and restaurant. We bought lots of drinks and ice creams at the beginning of our trip and stocked our fridge for our beach days.

Free parking available. We were always able to get a space.

Overall, I would probably return to Coral Mist and I would recommend.

And again, the beach at the Coral Mist is 10/10!!

A friend and I stayed here for a week in June. The hotel is in a fantastic location on the beachfront. It's within walking distance to a local supermarket, St Lawrence Gap and Rockley beach. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around, from high end eateries (Champers which was incredible) to cheaper bites in the Tikki Bar.
We stayed in a Deluxe studio which is more than adequate for 2 people, we had all the facilities we required and was cleaned daily. The hotel felt quiet during our visit, plenty of sunbeds around the pool and beach.
We recommend the local routed taxis (reggae bus), they were plentiful, cheap and a convenient way to get around (be warned, some of them do drive a little erratically).
During our stay we went to Oistins on Friday night, this was great fun, freshly cooked fish, delicious rum punch and a generally fun vibe! We also did a Catamaran trip, although a little pricey it was a fun trip.
We would absolutely recommend the Coral Mist to anyone looking to visit Barbados.

Very good with potential to be even better.

Great location in Worthing. Close enough to the Gap to walk it and the area has some cool bars and very close to the excellent Champers restaurant.

My studio was literally on the beach. One of the best room locations I have ever had. The beach was beautiful though a bit of a swell when I visited. Rockley beach is a few minutes walk away and is calmer and also has beach bars/places to eat.

Great spa staff - shout out to the lovely ladies there, most of the reception staff with one exception were very helpful with my many questions. Travel desk arranged my fun trip to the Mount Gay visitor centre with lunch that I recommend and a taxi, wait and return to the pretty Orchid World. Late checkout possible on request if available for 100 Bajan. Good Wi-Fi.

My studio had a useful fridge freezer and cutlery/plates/kettle. Handy for tea though suggest you bring your own tea bags as certain things are more expensive in Barbados.

In terms of things to get more marks the breakfast while tasty was missing certain items - bacon/fruit on two occasions. In fairness after I spoke to Tracey who runs the restaurant a fair accommodation was reached on that. A few bottles of complimentary water would also be welcome.
