All rooms face the sea with a great pool just before. You step from the property onto the beach. All rooms have their own kitchen a great addition for those lazy morning when you want to ‘chill on the huge balcony. Local small supermarkets within 1 minute walk, 10 min walk to large supermarkets. This is a quiet hotel and ideal for relaxation (a spa hotel without the Spa). 10 mins walk to the gap with great restaurants including Harlequins and Primo, plus, don’t forget to book that special night with Chiryl at Champers. What make this hotel so special is the the long serving in-house team, thanks for making our stay so special. November to August is a perfect time to visit (May to July just a little more humid).
This was a nice place. I booked late and couldn't find a room at Infiniy or Southern Palms, so I booked a room here. It is slightly off the main strip in the St Lawrence Gap, but an easy enough walk or taxi ride. The rooms are huge, I think every one has an ocean facing balcony, AC worked good, safe in room, good water pressure, fridge in room, comfortable bed. It has a fenced in deck and pool area, with access to the beach. The beach area is a little small and narrow, the hotel provides towels for beach but no loungers or umbrellas. It's right next to another nice hotel and past that you can rent loungers and umbrellas, there are also several beach bars right there. On the street side it is an easy walk to a grocery store or coffee shop.
Very nice hotel on the beach with very friendly personel. Nice falling a sleep hearing the waves beat the shore. The beach was superb. The hotel are Close to restaurant and shops. If you want to use local buses for fun experience they are located on the main street close to the hotel. It is around 20 min from airport.
Coral sands is a perfect place to be. I was here from october 26-nov 2. From the moment I entered the hotel the people that worked the front desk was caring , helpful and insightful. A big shout out to Nickie, Suzanne, Jerry, Rosemary, Kenneth, Adrianne, and Troy , Lena, willifred, if I left anyone out please forgive me . The rooms all have ocean views with kitchenettes that are really a great convenience, grocery stores and local buses are a five minute walk away. The hotel is right on the beach with a restaurant, pool area, and a bar. the sand on the beach is so soft and velvety and the water feels marvelous. You may see a turtle or two. Perfect for swimming. Everything is kept clean and spotless. I know I will be returning, God willing because I’ve found my home away from home in Barbados . I Highly recommended this lovely hotel.…
I spent a lot of time reading reviews about various hotels in Barbados because we wanted some specific items - oceanfront, not fully inclusive or remote, near transportation and the ability to prepare a simple meal. We could not have been happier with Coral Sands! It met all of our needs, was spotlessly clean, a kitchen with full size refrigerator, large balcony and of course, oceanfront, I'd like to make a special mention to Jerry, Susanne, Nikki and Troy whose unfailing good humor and assistance were invaluable, no matter how dumb my questions were. My husband was initially surprised because it was not near the "upmarket" hotels closer to Bridgetown, but we later realized that this was a bonus. We were within easy walking distance to supermarkets (one was gourmet), a food truck site, a bank, public transportation (you must try the Z'R's - Zed R vans), and food takeways for those nights you just wanted to relax. It is also walking distance or a fast ZedR ride to St. Lawrence Gap with all the wonderful restaurants. We rented a car and I would suggest a GPS if you are not using a smart phone. Another bonus was free parking at the hotel, unlike many other chain brands. We are already thinking about a return visit and will definitely be staying at the Coral Sands! …
We had chosen Coral Sands Beach resort for a few relaxing days on the beach before flying home, and it was overall a good choice. The hotel is a bit aged, despite the nice outer appearance, and a typical American style hotel. The rooms were spacious, ours with direct view on the ocean, and a nice balcony and bathroom. We had a small kitchenette to prepare breakfast and enjoyed it on our balcony overlooking the sea. In front of the hotel is a small and quiet beach, and one can take the sunbeds from the hotel to the beach, or stay inside the guarded area at the pool. Service was varying depending who was at the lobby. We had two very nice gentlemen being very responsive, but also one lady being quite customer-unfriendly (whom we avoided after the first day whenever possible). Also the service at the pool bar was poorly. The hotel is in walking distance to St. Lawrence Gap, a small beach street with many bars and restaurants, which was great to get good seafood and a nice cocktail in the evening. So overall a good choice, although (like all we experienced in the Carribean) a bit overpriced.…
The hotel is accessed from a short lane leading off the main road in a not particularly attractive section of St Lawrence Gap. Nevertheless, the hotel looked far more attractive than the buildings close to it. The reception and interior were equally attractive, but not distinctive or memorable. Our room on the third floor was spacious and comfortable, overlooking the beach. The hotel dining room was rather uninviting and the service was typically slow, but also rather awkward in terms of communication and the uneasiness of the staff. On the whole though, a pleasant hotel providing fair value.
My daughter and I have visited Barbados on several occasions, staying in a variety of apartments, condos or hotels. Without doubt this hotel is the best, it has everything and more for the perfect holiday . The location could not be beaten, a leisurely walk to Accra Beach in one direction or to The Gap in the other direction. If you are feeling lazy, then it is easy to pick up a ZR from the top of the quiet road which leads to the hotel. The very helpful staff on reception arranged a taxi for us one night when it was raining. The hotel itself is immaculately clean with colourful Bajan decor . The swimming pool area is lovely and there was always a comfy sun bed available. The beautiful beach is right in front of the hotel and the waves are quite gentle , unlike those in other nearby beaches. There are lots of bars and restaurants in easy walking distance, and a very smart supermarket two minutes away. The staff are great, and kindly arranged two adjacent rooms for us and our friends. The view from our second floor balcony was amazing. We can’t wait to return.…
Unless you want the trappings and prices of Sandy Lane, this hotel is prefect. It is right on the beach and has its own pool. The rooms are exceptionally spacious, very well equipped (including a kitchen and good air conditioning), very clean and have large balconies overlooking the sea. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the "old colonial" style of the building gives it extra charm. There is no restaurant for the evenings but there is a good range of places within a few minutes walk. The location is about equidistant from the airport and the harbour.
We really loved this private and clean hotel that had a beautiful view of the ocean. We got to watch the sunset every single night. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's in walking distance to lots of great places to eat. Can't wait to stay here again.
