About a 1.5 hour drive South of Tulum beach drive. Very comfy beds, clean, great shower, water dispenser in rooms. Nice beds under palapas on the beach. Room 4 has wifi. Fast wifi at office which has guest seating. Easy fast check in. 10 minute drive to the town of Punta Allen. Booked through expedia.

We stayed at Sol Caribe for 5 nights and were extremely satisfied with everything: the food, the service, the beach, the rooms, the beautiful large showers, the access to fishing, the remoteness. The manager arranged all of our fishing trips with a knowledgeable local guide. Sol Caribe has a dock across the street on the bay side of the peninsula...

We stayed at the hotel twice in the past six months and will most probably go back soon. This boutique resort is secluded and very intimate. If you go off season you might be the only guest there. Definitely wouldn't recommend it to those who are looking for the typical big resort experience, nightlife, etc. If you are that type...

The room was lovely, besides being greeted by a scorpion the first morning. The cleaning service was prompt and thorough, although intrusive and with no regard to whether or not a guest was in the room. The food was great and the service in the restaurant was perfect! The beach was perfectly maintained...overall, we had a good experience, but felt...

Beautiful tasteful rooms, fantastic garden, not a single bug, great clean beach. The wind is pretty strong, but one somehow gets used to it, and there are always waves. You can however walk for about 20 minutes to swim in a lagoon. It is the perfect place if you want to enjoy nature at its best. Great for families and...

I spent 1 night at Sol Caribe, but that was enough to fall in love with this place, away from EVERYTHING in the middle of Sian Ka'an, I traveled as a couple and it is impossible not to share the love, it is a top notch experience, Ricardo and his staff will make you live the caribbean dream. The lobster...

We spent 2 nigths at Sol Caribe and it was the highlight of our 3 weeks vacation! Gettind to Punta Allen was an adventure in itself! We planned to have a great adventure by renting a Jeep Patriot and driving the so called infamous road, but the rental agency had a different idea and we ended up with a Chrisler...

Casual, tranquil, secluded and relaxed, Sol Caribe is a small, exclusive, beachfront resort with private cabanas and suites, on the Caribbean Sea side of Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula; in the state of Quintana Roo… it is one of the last untouched corners of the Mayan Riviera with a desert island feel. Just 35 km south of the town of Tulum and 8 km from the village of Punta Allen, Sol Caribe is located within a protected oasis of extraordinary natural beauty, the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, Mexico’s largest wetland nature reserve and one of the world’s greatest fly fishing spots on Ascension Bay (Bahia de la Ascension). Explore the Mayan ruins dotting the jungle landscape, snorkel in the Great Meso-American Barrier Reef just off the beach, enjoy the fresh seafood in our beachfront restaurant, watch the sea turtles swimming in the waves… or just relax under a palapa on a white sandy beach that you have all to yourself. ... more   less
