We spend 3 nights at the Watermead Guest House and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Trudi and David are incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home from Day 1. Both spent a great deal of time providing us with really useful tips and advises on what to do in the area (Coastal walk in Beer, visit of the Thor in...

We recently spent a very happy 4 days at the Watermead. David & Trudy made us feel very welcome and comfortable as well as providing invaluable information about eating out etc. It is a lovely old house with loads of character and private parking in a very good location from which to explore the surrounding area. The rooms are clean,...

Had a fantastic couple of days at Watermead. Trudi,David and Chester(Puppy) were ace. Very friendly and lovely property. One of the best B&Bs I ever been to. Excellent base for visiting Lyme Regis and the surrounding area. Very helpful in planning days out but also gave you privacy. Room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast to die for and set you...

Well what can I say other than this is a 5 star guest house. Trudi and David welcomed us and are a lovely couple. The guest house is lovely and warm and cosy. They recommended an evening place to go for a meal which was also great. Breakfast superb and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend this guest house.

My boyfriend and I came down to Chard from London over the last half term to come and check out the Jurassic Coast. We were greeted by Trudy who was lovely and chatty and straight away made us feel right at home. Both her and Dave gave us tips on where to go and where to eat and we felt...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during the Easter break and had a wonderful time. The reason I booked was the proximity to West Bay where 'Broadchurch' is filmed. Chard is about 30 mins away in the car. We had a lovely warm welcome from Trudy who was genuinly interested in our visit. She is very knowledgeable...

Being quite fussy on comfort, quiet & cleanliness, we have tended to stick to a less personal but bigger hotel chain! But on this occasion it was not an option and thank goodness, because our visit to this lovely guest house perfectly hosted by Trudy & David was wonderfully warm and welcoming, it was very clean & homely, tastefully decorated...

I stayed just one night in a double en-suite (for one) on the third floor. This guest house is in a very quiet, convenient location, set back from the High Street up a short lane with good on site parking. It provides therefore easy access to the town. Trudy and David are excellent hosts. I had a warm, friendly welcome,...

Trudy and David are fantastic hosts for their charming little guest house. It really is a home away from home. The rooms are comfy beds, hot shower and good WiFi, everything I need when working away. Easily the best part of the stay though is the cooked breakfast, best I've ever had in any hotel! The Watermead was a great...
