After our four hours drive from Windhoek it was a great pleasure to arrive at this beautiful campsite/guesthouse. There are several campsites, all very spacious and with good showers and toilets There is also a lodge with ten rooms, also very nice. The bar and restaurant are extremely charming and the food we had for dinner was great, a fixed...

We stayed for two nights at Weltevrede, We enjoyed our stay there very much! The rooms are tidy and beautiful and the view outside the window was really breathtaking. Due to the waterhole right behind the chalets it is possible to view game even at night and the sunsets over the namib dessert were incredibly beautiful. The food was great...

A great place to stay. Sincere input from management and staff. Camping was shared with lots of gecko's, flies, mosquitoes, springbucks, poultry, dust from the Sesriem highway. Yet the owners have created a feeling of contentness.

The welcome was warm to this beautiful place in the middle of the desert. Marella couldn't have been more helpful.... from the initial booking direct ( we booked really late )and this was the only place that had space.... and SO pleased it did. My husband and myself just loved the atmosphere of the farm, very relaxed, great food and...

We were disappointed with our welcome to this guestfarm after having experienced two others where the hosts were delightful and really made an effort with their guests. We really didn't get to know this family as we had at the other guestfarms. However the meals were lovely, home cooked and generous. The cakes for afternoon tea were scrumptious. Our packed...

It was so nice here! We are definitely going to return here. The proprietors are lovely people and helped us a lot with our impending trip to Soussuvlei. The rooms are a little bit vintage but the kindness of this place creates an unforgettable atmosphere and surely compensates that. If you are planning a trip to Namibia, don't miss this...

As campsites go, it was better than I expected. It was the cheapest campsite we stayed at, yet we had electricity, water and our own toilet/shower in a separate block. The communal grounds are nice, with greenery and a pool. My boyfriend ate at the lodge and said it was quite nice. Lovely little place for a nights stay, but...

We booked at the Weltevrede because there were no more rooms available closer to Seissriem. What a good thing! First, it was closer then we though from Namib Desert. Second, we have been welcomed by the daugher in law of the owner and she has been more then helpful for us. She gave us very good advices, she managed the...

“We enjoyed camping at the new campsites. Their unobstructed positioning allows for a fantastic star-gazing opportunities at one of the "Earth's darkest skies". Milky Way was clear over the head, and in the morning Pleiades and Orion were shining and brightly visible in the dark sky!”
