Wonderful stay, since the service (Betinho, Tati and the whole staff are amazing, friendly and welcome you very well), spacious room, comfortable bed, excellent food and drinks (highlighted for the parrilla on Saturday, imperative), swimming pool with spectacular views, and amazing tours through the mango and waterfall. Really a refuge, I recommend.
Suggestions for improvement: - has no gym or cardio options (will build) - has no sauna - no spa (massages are done in the room) - forgot to clean our room on one of the nights, we got no towel and had to ask by phone. - the bathroom had something roasting, I believe it was the wet wood in the sink. - the wellness center breaks a branch, but is very poorly preserved. The weights are old, the weights door is rusted and broken, the boxes are with the pullers broken. Need urgent maintenance. Another point is the issue of accessibility, to get there has to go through a trail of cut trunks, which is beautiful but not practical. I am so excited to give this review of the best hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. From the moment we arrived and the drinks they brought us to the way they treated us, the way that they taught us Portuguese, every bit of food was gluten and lactose-free and they always accommodated our every need at the drop of a dime. The service was world class and I have nothing but the best things to say about rogerio and Tatiana at the front desk, Rodrigo the lead bartender, Hongos and the massage therapists.
Breakfast and dinner we're amazing, Everyone was patient and the tours and the transfers were easy to book and very affordable , very high quality. Highly recommend the 4 beach tour with Leo, Jadson took us to the waterfall and fish fry on the beach.
We had a very unfortunate experience with atacare Eco resort which was completely infested with mold and mildew, this other resort charged us the full price of the room and wouldn't refund us but thankfully the angelic staff at the barracuda reception not only helped us to try and advocate for our money back but supported us emotionally during a stressful time.
we were desperate to find a new place last minute and they completely accommodated us at Barracuda and fixed all of our stress and problems immediately upon arrival. The chef is a fisherman and expert in fish. The juices were divine. We will definitely come back.

My husband and I just stayed four nights in the corner suite. The room was spacious with a great view. I think a hotel of this level should provide guests with complimentary water. It was strange, at times you are brought bottle water and charged and sometimes you are served in a large glass carafe, unclear if that is just tap.
Food: the food overall was very tasty. I do think with offering the same lunch/dinner combined menu, that they do not more options or more specials. Service from the bartenders was fantastic. Service from the waitstaff was inconsistent, waiting for an appetizer for 45 minutes or sitting at the table for 25 minutes without any service. The white fish across the options is always the same local fish, it is tasty, but gets repetitive. Breakfast is tasty but the same every day, this was getting old by the fourth morning, more options needed especially given it’s the one piece they are “including” with your stay.

Emails with Paulo prior to our trip involved discussing logistics. He encouraged us to fly into IOS and said it was a 20 minute car ride. We based a lot of our plans on this including flight times and meal timing. Once we were in the car we then realized we were over an hour from the property. You would think a hotel at this level would be very apologetic of this error. When we arrived starving the host suggested he was making it right, welcomed us to the restaurant. A hotel at this level would provide either drinks on the house at the very least or have lunch waiting considering I emailed from the car. I also asked to discuss with the manager who has been unresponsive. I find this to be poor service and low class. Town is walkable and very quaint.
Boat trip to the islands: I would recommend this trip. I have done similar excursions at other places that felt more touristy, this did not. My only feedback would be that the Paulo should provide a checklist the day prior where a guest can indicate what they would like on the boat such as selecting a snack, beverage etc. they just automatically provide soda, water, beer and a small bag of cashews.
Massage: fantastic
Overall, pleasant and great stay. I would recommend the manager rethinks how to treat guests when communication from his staff is incorrect, or himself. It was unclear if Paulo was also the a manger or just handled the excursion.

My husband and I chose the Barracuda to celebrate our wedding! The choice could not have been better. Everything there is beautiful and elegant. The courtesy of the whole staff delights the guest. More specifically, everything in the room is of the best quality: the bed very comfortable, with many good pillows, excellent bath towels. The amenities are of great quality, the sweetheads and chocolates that the cleaning team presents the guest are delicious, the utensils with water and the rest of the decor are beautiful. The view of the room (and the bathroom), has nothing to describe, you have to feel and live this experience!!!!! Dinner of the gods! Our stay at the Barracuda Hotel was an absolute delight. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Every detail of the hotel has been thoughtfully designed, from the beautiful spaces to the charming design touches.
The culinary experience was outstanding, with amazing fresh food (especially locally caught seafood) and expertly crafted cocktails and mocktails. We also enjoyed the hotel’s boat tour which included a fantastic BBQ featuring freshly caught fish along the coastline.

Our stay was perfect! The hotel is wonderful, with a breathtaking view, we spent amazing days with all the comfort, sympathy and care of the staff. The super well served breakfast with organic food and a whole dish in handmade ceramics. We made several tours through a detailed program, assembled by the hotel. The highlight was the Boat Trip that ends with fresh fish served in a cocoa leaf. The room is simply impeccable! With the new and high quality enxoval, and plenty of space in both the bedroom and the bathroom. I can't see the time to go back!
