One week with my wife at the end of October. Sun every day, but without that choking heat. The resort is great. There are some care to take to enjoy the place, but overall I found the stay at Txai very good.
Positive points: very nice place, quiet (for those who like), long beach, with wide edge, nice pool. There are enough chairs and towels for everyone - both on the beach and in the pool. There is a good number of staff for care (we don’t have to look or wait long for someone to show up, even on the beach) and they are friendly and polite. For those (like me) who like the sea, the beach has fine sand and clean, the sea is clean and shallow, but with waves. The beach has a very flat shore (good to walk) and - for those who are afraid - there is life-saving. The bungalows are wide and nice, the air conditioning takes care of the message, the bed is large and has a mosquito deck (but I haven't seen any mosquitoes); there's a TV, but I haven't used it. The internet is fast, both in the bungalow and in the pool/strand.
Negative points: Beware of the local bangalows: there are bangalows on the beach level, but there are also bangalows on the hill. To climb, there is a staircase of 56 steps and it can be uncomfortable to go/go back from the pool/strand. The hotel offers car transportation day and night, but it is not very practical to be asked to be transported. In the bungalow there is no iron to pass clothes (my wife hated); if you want to pass clothes you have to use the hotel service. The bedside is large and is very close to the lateral bushes. We knocked down and broke one of them and the hotel charged 900,00 (I may be being unfair, but I found too much for a very simple ceramic abajour). The shower looks like it's on the outside of the bungalow. It's surrounded, no one sees you outside (at least, I think) and it's a decoration option, to give a rustic thing feeling, but I didn't like it. The restaurant, however, is what needs the most attention from the administration. Prices are high (150 to 180 per individual dish) but the quality of the food is median. The snacks are delicious, but the portions are very small and not cheap. I also did not like the price of the drinks: there are no options of wines below 200.00 or sparkling under 280.00. The quality of the drinks is varied, drinks (30,00-45.00) well made in the restaurant, but not so much in the beach bar.
Despite the downsides, I thought it was a pretty pleasant week.

Our experience at Txai Resort was overall excellent, but I wanted to bring up two minor issues we encountered during our stay:
1) We began the booking process in January/February, paying 50% of the total cost upfront. When we paid the remaining balance in June/July, we were informed by the reservations department that the hotel was undergoing repairs. I believe this could have been communicated more effectively. Had we known earlier, we might have considered changing our dates. I would suggest informing clients of such situations in advance.
2) We paid for a transfer service to pick us up at the airport upon arrival. However, due to weather conditions, our flight was redirected to Salvador, and we had to take a bus to Itacaré. Throughout the journey, I kept Txai's front desk informed of our location and estimated arrival time. When we finally arrived at Itacaré's bus station at 11:45 PM, no one from the hotel was there to meet us. After contacting the hotel, I was told it would take approximately 20 minutes for someone to arrive. It was late at night, and we felt unsafe waiting, so we decided to take a taxi to the hotel ourselves, hoping that the hotel would understand the situation and cover this expense, as we had already paid for the transfer. The taxi driver was understanding and allowed us to pay the following day, but as we don't have a Brazilian mobile number, we were unable to use PIX (Brazil's mobile money transfer system). The next morning, I went straight to the front desk, and Lucas promptly asked for the taxi driver's mobile number to handle the payment. I was truly impressed by his understanding and quick response. The hotel reimbursed us for the transfer cost, provided a 490 BRL credit, and even offered us an excursion through Txai's partner, Fertur. Although we ultimately chose to stay at the hotel to make the most of our time, we greatly appreciated these thoughtful gestures.
Aside from these two situations, our time at Txai was incredible, and we highly recommend the experience to everyone. The team was amazing, supportive, and helpful. Special thanks to Lucas, Ana, Stanley, Antonio, Licio, and the restaurant/bar staff for their kindness and attentiveness. Txai is truly one of the best places we've ever stayed and we will definitely come back!

We were very happy and satisfied with our honeymoon in Txai! We already knew it was wonderful from the photos and videos, but in person it is even more enchanting. We were very well received and treated like king and queen by everyone, without exception! They think about every detail: the room was cleaned several times a day, they put messages, tide forecast, water, chocolates, moisturizers... the pampering was endless. Our room was incredible, we don't even know what to say about that perfect outdoor shower! The whole experience was unforgettable, we created happy memories and we intend to come back many times! I came with high expectations, a disappointed rehearsal. For the price they charge, the services should be much better. The poorly prepared employees leave you waiting a long time for something you order, whether on the beach, at the pool or even in restaurants. They forget your order, and this happened all 4 days of the stay. Furthermore, the hotel does not offer anything beyond the space it is in, there are no activities, only paid tours. We decided to go last minute to the wedding of a friend in Txai. Because it is a holiday we only get a flight with arrival at 18:00hs in Ilheus, and a return flight with departure at 20:40hs. At the time of the reservation we warned usaa the need for late check-out, and we were remembering the hotel staff in all contacts we had. The highlight for me was the hotel: bed, sheets and towels at the standard of our house, so the sleep is restorative. We were there in the low season, it was raining a lot but the spa was not an option given the high price of the services. We ate almost every dish on the menu (lunch and dinner), but none of them surprised us. We couldn't eat all of the shrimp moqueca, it wasn't tasty, but the presentation was great. The menu is very expensive (no need for that)...there is no option in the neighborhood.

Place without management, without communication between departments, rooms without maintenance. From check-in to check-out we had a lot of stress, negligence in service. Txai lacks management, communication, much more communication, trained staff and treatment with delicacy and detail. They failed us enormously, we arrived in São Paulo hating the experience, stressed, a waste of money that wasn't worth it at all, I think they should reimburse us.

It is unmissable to spend a season in Txai, enjoying the charms of southern Bahia, its food, the kindness and joy of the employees, the sea breeze, walking in the area, all with the right measure of elegance and comfort, without losing the feeling of summer, even in the Bahian winter, which translates into brief showers of rain!
