Comfort, well-being, exuberant nature, a hint of charisma - a trademark of the Bahian people - and a lot of joy. This is the recipe that makes the Itacaré Eco Resort a good choice to stay in Itacaré, a municipality located 60 kilometers from Ilhéus.Installed in the Villas Villas de São José, an old cocoa farm, the proposal of the place is the integration to the nature allied to the comfort of its surroundings and the quality of services. Surrounded by beautiful beaches and a vast area of preserved Atlantic Forest, the resort, which recently expanded its facilities increasing the amount of accommodation, offers varied structure of leisure and sports for adults and children, besides tasty and well elaborated gastronomy. To complete, two magnificent beaches with private access are available to guests: São José, one hundred meters from the resort and Prainha, one kilometer.
Star ratings are intended to indicate the general level of features, amenities, and services to expect. This property is classified according to Giata.

Beautiful cozy place, a lot of contact with nature, a peace, the staff are great super attentive, the cleanliness is very good, the rooms are large, has 1 very good restaurant, 1 hot water pool and natural, with bar (not in front of the beach), the little river that connects the beach is clean, my son loved. The beach is beautiful, but like all, wave beach, The road that connects the hotel is 3.5 km from land to the Ba 001, difficult access at night, lack of signage, in some sections only passes a car. The hotel does not have a beach wardrobe, only beach service including umbrellas, chairs and loungers, they assemble when you arrive, the umbrellas are torn and broken, you can order anything from the restaurant, they take up there, in the hotel is not allowed to take your drink, and the price of the beer is quite high, the drinks a little. The children's park is good, but lack maintenance. The rooms with views are difficult to access, a climb, passes through homeless area. Claro's mobile network catches only a few points. The Wi-Fi is intermittent. There is a ruin that gives access to another condominium, which divides the rooms with views.
It's worth renting a car.

It's worth the experience, but don't expect luxury! Hotel located with good leisure options: private beach, a small waterfall trail, kayaking on the mango. Good outdoor toy box (the inside for small children needs cleaning and urgent maintenance) the pool very cold (stays in the shade and has no heating) tbm needs a renovation, but to use the restaurant is great, as it has a shade and an amazing view. The restaurant has not many options on the menu, but everything we asked came very tasty. Reasonable breakfast. Comfortable but old room facilities. Very polite and caring staff (mostly). Access with 4km reasonable ground road. Academy okay.

We got Day Use and were disappointed The smell is old, damp, not pleasant. Swimming pool. The beach service only offers drinks, nothing to eat. You need to go to the pool (which is relatively not close) to order what to eat. When placing an order, it takes more than 1 hour to arrive, it takes a long time, The waiters serve relatively well, but I believe the delay is due to the kitchen.

It's not a resort, it's a scam. Hotel very poorly located, about 5km on a dirt road from BA-001. And about 30 minutes from the center of Itacaré. The hotel offers a transfer, charging 75 reais each way, to take you to the road. It's ridiculous. Upon arriving at the hotel, it was very poorly maintained, poorly cleaned, only one restaurant with bad and expensive food. There are no morning and afternoon snack options for young children (fruit, for example). Copa baby is completely open to the bush, and very poorly sanitized, disgusting microwave and no filtered water available. The hotel has zero accessibility for walking with a stroller, it is full of climbs, descents or stairs. Bathroom in our room, moldy, very poorly maintained and there is no insect screen, and because it is a forested area, there is no way to leave the window open. Breakfast, horrible, it looks like they put everything left over from the end of the day in a bakery. French bread always hard. Dry cakes. Swimming pool, dirty, disgusting water, poorly maintained, I refused to go in and put my daughter in it. In short, the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and even worse because they deceive people using the name "resort". The beach is not private as they say on the website, it is shared with the hotel next door. And the photo of a very beautiful pool on their Instagram is actually from the hotel next door, meaning they make fools of their guests. Pool towel is charged. There is a charge of 20 reais to take food to the room. Grumpy and impatient employees, but I don't blame them, as it must be horrible to work in a place like that.

Terrible hotel, should never be called a resort. Upon arrival no one greeted us, after going to reception no one showed us where to find the rooms, no one offered help with our luggage. 95% of the employees were in a bad mood, the swimming pool was destroyed, the restaurant got the order wrong, they didn't apologize, they made an ugly face when requesting a change of dish. Only one pool towel per stay, even on a different day you have to pay to change it. Bathroom had a faulty flush and they didn't change our room, nor did they call someone to check, we had to wait until the end of the second day for them to fix it. Hotel needs urgent renovation, and training in good manners and education for employees.

Older hotel in need of renovation. Dark and what impressed me most was the smell of mold, both in the room and in the room next to the reception. Good breakfast. We stayed in the apartments furthest from reception, which is a hassle. They say it has a sea view. Yes, there is a view, but it's quite far away... it's quite small. And to get to these apartments, the number of steps is huge. Anyone who has a knee problem can't risk it. The first night we ordered dinner. It took so long that we asked to cancel. We were told it was already coming, however, my dish came and my husband's didn't. After waiting 15 minutes, we gave up and left without dinner. The waitress who served us, very friendly and helpful, even took the meal to our room, but we didn't accept it, as it was late. Anyway, we stayed two nights and these were the impressions we had.

The hotel is completely immersed in nature: birds singing at breakfast with a waterfall in the background!! The waterfall trail is just a few meters from the hotel, well worth the trip too!! Hospitable and super receptive staff!! Wonderful food and drinks, the seafood rice and the cocoa honey drink were my favorites!! São José beach is beautiful and practically private, super empty, in just a few meters of trail we reach the beach!

A terrible experience at the ECO RESORT restaurant at dinner on 01/25/2024, the worst of all my trips. They served me spoiled food (Hake fillet in shrimp sauce with vegetables), I ended up eating half of it thinking it would be some different herb or vinegar, but I asked for the dish to go back to the kitchen and they told me that the food was spoiled! I felt sick and almost vomited on the table. And to make matters worse, the salad arrived very bad, missing items and without seasoning, and we left almost 3 hours after arriving without even serving the juices we ordered, a lack of care in an expensive restaurant. Terrible service, I don't recommend it!

The Resort is on a secluded beach with strong waves and no walking vendor to bother. On the beach, it offers support with chairs and sunscreen as well as food and drinks. Ideal place to rest with the family, enjoy the sea and the sun.

Beautiful place, soliciting staff and all polite staff, spacious room with wonderful views, felt in paradise and located on the most beautiful beach of itacare, São José beach is paradisiaca. The resort is very well taken care of. The pool is in the middle of nature, has access to the river and waterfall, with plenty of entertainment for all ages.

"If you are a family, ask for a room on the ground floor (or even one of the rooms/apartments in the same building as the restaurant). If you are a couple, ask for a room in one of the buildings closest to the beach."
