We arrived late and had received a code for the check-in machine in advance, that worked perfectly. The room was quite simple, but clean - all you need to spend a night. The breakfast was ok and the personnell friendly, Wifi worked ok in the room.
Its ok for overnight stay. One of the best things in this motel is check in via check in machine :). Room was quite big but bed was to soft for me and the bathroom was dirty and stinky !!!. Breakfast was ok.
This place is great for crossing the ferry from or to Norway. Very efficient system of checking in late at night and very quiet. Great sleep. Decent breakfast. Perfect for road trips. Not sure about the town, but the hotel is great and staff very friendly. Not overly priced for the area, which is a rarity!
Ideal overnight stay if you are travelling to Scandinavia, nice and clean, helpful staff, nice gardens, near beach. Hirtshals town nearby is a nice little harbour town, near good beach, harbour area nice for a stroll / bit of shopping / cafes/restaurants (not many), especially Lilleheden Restaurant on the harbour.
We booked this non-smoking motel for a night on our travels to Norway. We told the motel we would be late in arriving which they assured us would be ok. When we got there the reception was closed. It closes at 4.00 pm every day. There was a queue of people trying to understand the automatic booking in by computer system. When we got to our room it stank of cigarettes - strange for a non-smoking motel. As there was no reception it was impossible to change room. I went into the toilet to be met by ants all over the bathroom floor. The towels were clean but very old. The bed linen was clean. Breakfast started too late for us as we had to be at the port at 7.00 am. We were so tired that we just went to bed and we had paid up front for the room but we shall not be going back there again. …
