Smack in the middle of it all, Hotel Stekl is perfectly situated for hikes of various lengths through the most spectacular parts of Cesky Raj (Bohemian Paradise).
Breakfast is good.
Our room was so tiny that we could scarcely move around our bed.
Very nice old fashioned hotel (family staff - manager and his wife, son and daughter) for calm rest. One side oriented to the square (opposite to church of St. Joseph) and another to the forest of Hrubá Skála rocks.

Whilst we did not actually stay here, on the strength of other Tripadvisor reviews we did reserve a table for dinner. Nevertheless we were still somewhat apprehensive but we need not have worried for we were not disappointed with our experience.

The restaurant served us a great lunch in the middle of our walk through the 'Bohemian Paradise'. Really nice pasta with mushrooms and a very good chicken schnitzel with a tasty cucumber salad. Good service and pretty good value. A cut above the rest.
Staff was very picky about our parking. Had to park as tight as we could in order to save space. Not comfortable. We were told that we could not just access the car later, because the parking lot would be closed off. There was no...More
