...but the price is also not Ritz Carlton level. I am passing through and need a bed and a bath for one night, and this place fits the bill. The room is small and very basic but everything is clean and in a good state of repair. The bed is comfortable and the free Internet works. The TV is absolutely tiny and with Spanish channels only. Room has AC/heating. Check in was friendly. Lots of restaurants and bars within reach and the beach is only a 15 minute walk away. Are you looking for a cheap place to crash and don’t mind skipping the standard hotel frills, this may be the place for you.
Hostal Beni is clean and comfy and well worth the money. I had a ground floor room, spacious enough for my mobility scooter and next to a little indoor courtyard which was lovely and the staff were warm, friendly and very helpful. Disabled ramp is located behind the main front door but no disabled access to rear door, only steps. No flat access for wheelchairs into the shower. Chilled and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for those attending Rototom Reggae Festival. A home from home feel and access to a kitchen. I would definately stay again but I would suggest a portable shower chair for those with mobility or standing issues.
What a lovely place to stay. The owners were a great couple, that made you welcome.Rooms tided everyday, new towels and even when we left the room later than the noon deadline they cleaned the room. The hostel was close to town and ten minute walk to the beach.
