Detailed Reviews
The views from the RV park were stunning. There were only a handful of other campers due to travel restrictions just being lifted. We had a stunning two nights stay with perfect sunny, hot weather. We now call such days "Fogo Weather"
We stayed right on the beach, with the most beautiful view imaginable, with sunsets and sunrises to break your heart.
This campground is run by Lions Club volunteers. We enjoyed meeting and talking to Roy and Marshall, who were excellent Fogo Island ambassadors. As the campground is mostly staffed with volunteers who use the funds for local projects, we understood why we were asked to pay $2 per shower.
There were fire pits, but for some reason, we just wanted to look at the view and we didn't have any fires.
There is a wonderful walk up Brimstone Head right beside the campground.
The campground is a 10-minute or less walk to the Bangbelly Cafe, which is one of the best places to eat in Newfoundland, in my opinion.
Thank you! We hope to come back when the Brimstone Head Festival starts up again.

The location is stunning. The campground is hard by Brimstone Head which has a hike to the top with great views. Some sites are close to the coastline and had magnificent views of the sunset. My site was closer to the main building and was an open site with no trees. The washrooms need updating. Very reasonably priced.

Once off the ferry, we headed for Fogo (town). it was a wet, but a nice, scenic, uneventful drive across the island. We made our way around the island. There are lots of good hiking trails. We saw the Bleak House Museum and historic churches on the island. We could not get very close to the Fogo Island inn, but we did "see" it. When we visited the island it was wet and very cloudy . We missed the icebergs and the whales. We never saw the caribou, but we did experience the island and it is unforgettable! it has tons of charm.
The park itself was very clean and accommodating. This RV Park is not listed in any of the guide books we had with us. We did used it and it was a wonderful place to call home even if just for a few hours. The Lions Club deserves full credit for this park right on the ocean. The Lions Club building located in the park even offers free wireless internet.

Beautiful views,, wonderful folks here...however, there are a couple of issues....
1) no dumping station at the campground,; closest station is in seldom...which is a long haul with full tanks and weight restrictions
2) no laundry facilities,,...
3) very little space,, no privacy
4) there is water hook up,, however, it's not drinkable water...
5) there's no staff here at night...your on your own if there's an emergency,, or a noisy party

Great rv Park!! Great ocean views!! Great view of Brimstone Head!!! Great Festival for three days in August!! Super great people running the park and festival!,, the entire park was packed for the festival but Bridget and Syd found us a beautiful ocean site with electric and water. Fogo is very lucky to have Bridget and Syd,yhey are outstanding. We stayed in a 45’ Class A Motorcoach, and no problem with space.

Pristine ocean front RV park dominated by the looming Brimstone Head. Considered one of th efour corners of the earth by the flat earth society, who can resist its lure? Not me. Climb to the top for a panoramic view of Fofo Island.
