We so enjoyed our stay here, including the fabulous breakfasts with homemade bread & jam. Experienced our first impromptu kitchen party; a couple who were hired to play & sing elsewhere on the island & throughout Newfoundland stayed here, & gave us a wonderful concert. We all joined in the jolly singing, & passed the wine around. Fun memories we’ll never forget.

The owner is super nice and clean. Her name is Eileen and she makes everything from scratch: fruit jams and bread. The kitchen is clean and accessible for guests. She came to set up coffee machine every evening and started making breakfast at 7:30am. She cooked eggs at your choices: scrambled or boiled…the whole breakfast was wonderful. She has been in the business for 20 years and no wonder she got so many compliments from guests reviews!

My husband and I had the privilege to stay at Peg’s Place on the beautiful Island of Fogo. Each morning we were treated to a tasty hot breakfast of eggs ( cooked our way) with toast from homemade bread, and at least six homemade jams to top it off. We also had the choice of apple or orange juice, coffee or tea. The B&B is very homey, and a great way to meet couples from all across the country.
Eileen and Gerald go out of their way to make your stay a very memorable experience.

This is our third time in 15 years staying at Peg's (actually Ilene's, but it's called Peg's), and it only underscores how wonderful is her hospitality! Fogo Island has become a destination now, with all the publicity, but Peg's has been the same for all these years: warm, friendly, generous, tasty (the breakfast of homemade bread and rolls, with eggs). There is a dining and living space where you can meet the other guests and share experiences.

Don't let the For Sale sign scare you, the rooms are clean and comfortable and breakfast great!. Ilene suggested a place to have lunch and dinner. Peg's came highly recommended by The Lookout Quilts & Things and we were not disappointed. Thanks Ilene.

A typical Newfoundland experience: the owner/greeter/chef was warm and charming.
The bedrooms were small but had everything one might need.
Eileen was lovely and ready to answer any questions or provide us with any possible needs.
Breakfast was made to order and served with a smile and delightful conversation.

Fabulous place to stay in Fogo, Eileen is so friendly and helpful, able to get us into a restaurant on short notice. Room was clean and comfy, fully cooked breakfast in the morning was great, homemade bread and jam, and of course other items ,lol. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends.

Greater warmly by our host, Eileen and shown to our room with a view of Fogo Harbour. Ask for room 2 when you reserve.

Good simple breakfast to start a day of exploring this fascinating corner of the country.

A few stairs to navigate outside and inside the house.

Within very short walking distances of almost everything, especially Bangbelly for supper.

Comfortable , relaxing , clean B &B. From the moment we arrived Peg made our stay welcoming and enjoyable. The room had everything we needed. The bed was so comfy it was hard to get up. Breakfast was yummy with tons of homemade jam. Centrally located to restaurant and trails.

I researched a number of places on Fogo Island for my 2-night stay and the testimonials on TripAdvisor led me to Peg's. I was welcomed by Eileen as I stepped out of my car. A wonderful host, she showed me my room and then the house. She made me feel so at home!

The next day over a lovely breakfast, Eileen sat with me (I was the only guest - it was off-season) and we chatted about my trip and what I wanted to do in Fogo. She told me about a number of things to do and in particular about a hike that she and her sister love called Lion's Den which is part of a larger circular hike to 'abandoned villages, hills and breathtaking panoramas,' as the sign says. Eileen said it was wonderful and she was right.

The 'Kaitlin' room had an ensuite bathroom and was very clean and cozy. It was part of an extension to the house. I wished there was room for a desk, but the sacrifice in size was worth the queen size bed. The room had it's own heater, flat screen TV, ceiling fan and that bed - magic! The deck outside had a lovely view of Fogo and the water. Fresh in October, but the view was worth it.

On the second day, Eileen invited me to her sister's for a family dinner - her son and his friends were visiting, so the family was getting together that evening. I was so pleased to be invited me along. I brought some wine and a pie from a local bakery, but it was not necessary as there was so much food already. The homemade dinner was amazing!! Fish cakes, salted fish, fish and more fish, scrunchions, potatoes, etc, and bottles of organic local wine. Desert included homemade pies and chocolate goodies. And conversation was plenty!

I want to go back and stay in Fogo and when I do, I will stay at Peg's with Eileen and Gerald as my hosts. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast!

I was a happy lodger at this B&B so can't answer booking questions. Suggest you call directly and the owners will no doubt be happy to help.
