The island experience awaits you. Whether you plan on relaxing by the ocean, or hiking our many trails, there are activities for everyone - visit during our summer months for music, festivals and other events
The owners of Peg's Place are very knowledgeable about the area and offered great tips about what to see and do. We were there for the Brimstone Head Folk Festival and they really helped us out in terms of navigating the event. The breakfasts each morning were fantastic with homemade bread and jams. We were treated with patience and kindness from our first hello to our final goodbye. We will never forget our wonderful stay there! Beth J.

A great spot in Fogo! Eileen is a wonderful host with lots of local knowledge and suggestions. She takes an interest in her guests and obviously enjoys offering warm hospitality. Breakfast was delicious - especially the home-made bread (she baked it daily... the aroma was as delightful as the finished product.) Our room was not large but beds were comfortable and room/ensuite very clean. Lovely time spent on front porch in the evenings.

We had a great stay at Peg’s place. Eileen is very friendly and gave us lots of advice about hikes around the island and visiting the inn with the free tour. She cooked us a great breakfast each morning with eggs, toast, fruit and various jams. The kitchen was available throughout the day (no access to the stove) which was convenient. Our room was small and the washroom was in the closet but very clean and comfortable. The water in the bathroom and tap was a bit muddy but filtered water was always available in the common area. Fogo is a beautiful place and we would love to return and stay here again!

Newfoundland is all about the people and the geography. Hosts Gerald and Eileen of Peg's Place guarantee that you experience the best of both. Because they are both born and bred Fogo Islanders they have a wealth of knowledge, stories and pictures to enrich your experience.

Eileen, the owner of Peg's Place is the best host possible! Checking in was a breeze and the room was perfect, on short notice we needed two beds rather than one as hubby had a cold which I tried to avoid. Eileen gave us the best tips on what to see and do on the island, like watching the sunset from a fantastic spot, or walking around the lions den. Breakfast was just delicious with fresh home made bread and lots and lots of goodies. Would come back again and again.

Eileen and Gerald opened this B & B about 16 years ago and were the only ones in Fogo at the time. Now there are many B & B's here but Gerald & Eileen were so welcoming and friendly I would not hesitate to stay here again. Gerald paints and has a nice print of Fogo available. They are both from Fogo so are very knowledgeable about the area and shared many tips for hikes and sight seeing as well as how to find all 4 artist studios in the area. There were boiled eggs, cereal, oatmeal, homemade bread & muffins and assorted jams for breakfast. Basic accommodations were clean and comfortable.

We booked "the master suite" and appreciated the extra space. Eileen was very helpful in recommending restaurants and points of interest. Peg's Place was quiet with comfortable bed that made for a good night's sleep. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the wonderful breakfast both mornings.
