This hotel is ideally situated to do many walks without having to move the car from the hotel car park. We stayed in a superior double room and it was fantastic. The hotel staff were very attentive and they clearly understand what excellent customer service is all about. We stayed on a DBB basis and would strongly recommend it -...

Just had the most wonderful stay at the Bridge Hotel Buttermere, a treat from the girls at work for my birthday. Stayed with my husband. A simply stunning hotel in stunning surroundings. Food beautiful. The weather was drizzly on day one, day 2 was much better. There was too much to see in the time we had so a perfect...

We stayed for one night midweek in a four poster room and could not fault anything. The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout and our room was lovely, with a large bathroom. The breakfast was delicious, with an excellent selection of food on the menu. If it is peace and tranquility you are after, then this hotel and setting...

Very comfortable room - first bedroom I've stayed in, in a hotel, which actually has a proper dressing table plus spacious bathroom. Staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful and the food delicious. No music anywhere in public rooms and no TV! Just the sound of the stream running down the side. Perfect!

The Bridge Hotel is the perfect place to stay for a walking break in Buttermere. From the moment you walk in there is a warm welcome. The staff are friendly and attentive; the rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable; the residents' lounge and public rooms are cosy and atmosphere - if a little dated - and the whole ambience of...
