We stayed at Casali della Aiola for 4 nights this August as my brother was getting married at another nearby hotel. If you want a relaxing break with the sound of silence then Casali della Aiola is the place for you to stay. Set in a georgeous and peaceful location, a 5 minute drive outside of the small village of...

My wife and I travelled to Tuscany during the Easter April long break. We picked this based on the previous reviews ( which also included 1 bad review ). Firstly we were not disappointed like the previous owner. Casali Della Aiola is a B&B which utilises a converted farmhouse on the site of the winery. The owners Frederica and Enrico...

Our stay was all we could have hoped for, and more. Set on a hillside overlooking vineyards and olive groves, Casali della Aiola is the epitome of the Tuscan setting. The owners' home is a 16th century manor house built atop the walls of a 13th century fort (the drawbridge across the moat now is the driveway). The B&B is...

I have had much success with recommendations from this site so feel obligated to warn you. not to stay here. Although Frederica is very nice she was totally unavailable to us. We never saw anyone else. One day when we needed assistance we buzzed her from the breakfast room to her home across the road as she suggested. We never...

Management response:

Albeit undeniably we must respect every opinion and think about every complaint to better our service, it hardly seems fair to lay the blame upon our B&B if there is just one restaurant in town and it’s fully booked, or if the guests next door are noisy. As it’s really peculiar to call ‘remote’ a place that is just 8...

It is hard to find words to describe Casali della Aiola. My husband and I return there year after year. The owners, Federica and Enrico, are fantastic and really know how to take care of their guests. Rooms are very comfortable and decorated by Federica herself in a Tuscan style. Breakfast is delicious with Federica's homemade cake. Casali della Aiola...

My company is a commercial tour operator, we specialise in biking trips. Naturally we see many hotels and meet many owners. This place is just wonderful. The owners are about the nicest people you could hope to meet on holiday. The accomodation is directly opposite the family castle. Frederica acts as the hostess, and nothing is too much trouble. Her...

My husband and I stayed at Casali della Aiola in early Oct. and had a wonderful stay! I saw the B&B pics on a website but when I arrived at the B&B, it was even more beautiful than the pics on the website! The B&B rooms are in a restored farmhouse and are decorated in a lovely Tuscan way. I...

My daughter and I began our Tuscan adventure at Casali della Aiola in late March, we made it over the 'bruto' road from Castellina in a hail storm...thinking we had clearly made a wrong turn and wondering what we had gotten ourselves into...just as the sun came out, we came to an overlook - there, perched on a 'nob' in...

We found the Aiola on the internet and hoped for the best. We went in July of 2004 for 5 days and had the time of our lives! The road that leads to this B&B is extremely breathtaking! It's located on a beautiful hill overlooking lots of vineyards and olive trees, just like a picture book. It looks like paradise!...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The seven double bedrooms and the cosy junior suite have been restored preserving the original architectural features. Each room has a separate outside entrance facing the garden and the vineyards come right up to the house with an open view of the surrounding hills. In the former barn next door there is the breakfast room where Federica's fresh-baked cakes are served and the hay-loft upstairs has been tastefully converted in a living room where guests can enjoy the winery products. ... more   less
