Many things to like about this B&B where I stayed for 4 days:

1. Clarissa, the owner, doesn't speak English but she is a warm, charming, friendly, lady.
2. Large bedroom with comfortable queensize bed.
3. Timber beams ceiling.
4. Well appointed, good sized bathroom.
5. Superfast, reliable internet.
6. Tons of food for breakfast in a nice breakfast area - cuts of meat, fresh fruit, yogurt, breads, very large selection of fruit juices, very large selection of jams, very large selection of cakes (for those who have sweet tooth), eggs prepared the way you want them.
7. Fridge with lots of water, fresh milk, juices, yogurt - all available at no charge all day for self-help.
8. Coffee and tea making facilities - kitchen (with microwave oven) available all day.
9. Small, pretty park just to the side of the house.
10. Great base for trips within Southern Tuscany (Montepulciano, Cortona, Pienza, Pitigliano, etc.) - you need a car, of course.

Not much to dislike. Room was a little chilly early in the morning and late evening. But nothing serious. San Quirico d'Orcia downtown, which is a few minutes away on foot, is very small and can be explored in an hour or two.

Great place to stay, with our hostess making sumptuous breakfasts each morning, snacks throughout the day and keeping the nicely furnished rooms clean and tidy. The bathroom was small but the shower excellent. Nice downstairs sitting room and good wifi. It's on a reasonably busy road so you hear a bit of traffic but this mostly disappears by the time you are heading off to bed. My only complaint and the reason I couldn't in all fairness give this 5 stars was the flakiness of the power in the very old (nicely renovated) building. We stayed 2 nights and on day one the power went out twice, one while I was in the shower (pitch black, instant cold water). Each one only lasted 20 seconds or so but was disconcerting. Then on our second night the power had obviously gone out again as the radiators were all off in the morning and there was no hot water. I can put up with a lot but a cold shower is not a great start to the day. Hot water and radiators were back on when we came back from breakfast but they obviously have load issues with their wiring which they should look into.

This B&B makes you feel at home thanks to the accurate and discreet service provided by Mrs Clarissa. She is a wonderful host who provides you with whatever you need. The room was very clean and well decorated with a charming atmosphere typical of a Tuscany country house. Breakfast was great, enriched with biscuits, croissants and special home-made cakes prepared by Mrs Clarissa herself, then orange juices, coffee, milk, tea and other herbal infusions and, on demand, salty stuff. At night Mrs Clarissa let us use the kitchen to prepare a snack or an infusion.
The only minimum defect was the fact that the house is close to the road, even though we slept very well.
We would choose again this place for the politness and accuracy of the household's service and the beauty of San Quirico, which is to us an ideal place to start a visit in the surroundings.

Great place to stay. Kitchen and fridge at your disposal. Expresso machine. Wifi. Chockies in the room. Lovely feel and very friendly host (not much english).
Breakfast was so impressive it was embarrassing a little. Quite an experience.
Go to the restaurant downstairs to have them ring the host as the number above the door was not working correctly.
Great find.
Clean spacious room. NO air con but fan.

We went here and felt like home the moment we arrived. The owners really wanted us to feel welcomed. In the kitchen the refrigerator is full of good food which is open to the guests 24/7 (pay at check-out). The breakfast was extraordinary. I have never in my life had such a good cappuccino. I don't know how they did it but it was the best. So, if you're in the area - go here! Convenient parking just outside the house.

What a lovely place is Antica Sosta. We were on a 4 day walk and stayed here 1 night, and had been concerned this place may be somwhat rustic, as the price is quite low, but what a surprise - a large room, comfortable bed and well furnished. I had feared the breakfast would be one of those industrial packaged Italian breakfasts, but no, freshly made coffee from an espresso machine, fresh pastries and bread.

And the female owner was friendly and helpful, which is not always the case in other places!

I really have not a single bad word to say about this B&B. The lady who runs the place, Signora Clarissa is extremely professional and very kind. Breakfast is VERY ABUNDANT, and you can help yourself to cakes and other delicacies through the day... You shouldn't overlook food because this part of Tuscany isn't cheap, so whatever is included is a real bonus. The rooms are decorated in a rustic luxury style and the place was very conveniently placed for me, as I was on a bike and I could quickly get on the route to the rolling hills of the Val d'Orcia. San Quirico is undoubtedly the best place to stay in the region, so make sure you consider this B&B!

Antica Sosta enjoys its location in the very heart of Val d'Orcia and right in between its most famous and picturesque spots.
B&B consists of several rooms. Ours was divided into two levels and had two double beds. Room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Soundproof was poor, but the town is so calm that nothing should really disturb you. Wi-Fi connection is generally good, but in the event the signal is lost you have to either find a router and reboot it by yourself or wait for a host who can come the next day.
Breakfast was very rich. It is offered by the host woman running the property, but guests have unlimited free access to refrigerator where almost everything offered for breakfast is kept, so you may have as many meals and make them as rich as you wish.
On the downsides I would point out complete lack of English language knowledge by the host, as well as broken credit card terminal at the moment of our check out. Luckily we had cash, otherwise we could waste some time.

We only spent a night here but the experience was excellent. Both the bedroom and ensuite bathroom were clean and comfortable. Our hostess, Clarissa, was very welcoming but discreet and she provided an amazing breakfast with home-made cakes, croissants, jams, ham, cheeses, fruit, yoghourt - you name it and she had it! The coffee was freshly percolated and was served in huge jugs with hot milk. Very handy for eating out at the good restaurant right below - no problems with drinking and driving!

We had an overnight stop over at this charming B&B which is right above the restaurant Locanda di Fonte alla Vena where we had an excellent dinner. Clarissa, our hostess, made us feel so very welcome. She was friendly but very discreet. Both the bedroom and ensuite bathroom were impeccable. Breakfast exceeded our expectations, even surpassing the very positive reviews we had read. A wonderful breakfast selection topped off by a vast choice of scrumptious home made cakes, and plenty of hot coffee with fresh milk (not the usual long-life milk provided by so many hotels). Worth a detour!
