Fantastic experience! Since my first contacts with Rossano Bindi by email and whatsapp to the reception and stay. Actually, I was in love with the place when I saw pictures of the accommodation, the bedroom decorated in pink romantic style and the location near Siena. Rossano and his family were extremely kind and attentive to us. Due to unforeseen schedule, we reached the place after 22:00 hours, without lunch or dinner, because the day was pure rush. Hungry and tired, we were greeted with a homemade cake prepared by the mother of Rossano, a bottle of wine and basic items to prepare a good pasta ao pomodoro, which saved our evening! Surely we will return to La Antico podere la Martinella, and indicate to all our friends. The accomodations are excelente, very comfortable, nice in al details and with lot of space to relax and enjoy. Next time we will stay for at least a week, since the three nights we spent there, were not enough to feel and usufluir all good maravilhora that Tuscany has to offer!

Everything about this stay was perfect, from meeting us at the bus and helping us get around as we had no car, to the very first class apartment. But the most important thing is that Rossano and his family made us feel as if we were a part of the family.

The house is an easy 10-15 minute walk to San Quirico, which is a delightful little medival village with very few tourists. After the hoards of Florence, it was a magical retreat. The goody basket of home grown olive oil, wine, marmalade, country fresh eggs, a bag of coffee, etc., and a fabulous sherry liquor made by Rossano's mother, left us feeling pampered and content. The house had kitchen items such as salt and pepper, and other amenities so it was easy to go to the coop, buy food, and cook up a good meal.

We stayed 6 nights and would have been content to stay longer. With a car, it is perfectly located to explore many delightful Tuscan villages. But even without a car, with Rossano's help and buses, we got along quite nicely. While I hesitate to say it as I don't think it is a normal part of the package, we had the best meal of our trip in Rossano's mothers dining room.

I stayed here for 1 weeks. The owner Rossano was so friendly. Very helpful and professional. They have wifi all over the farm. The views are amazing. I already booked another week in September. I recommend everyone to stay here

My husband and I have just spent 4 nights in La Martinella. That was a great place to stay - very spacious, comfortable, peaceful, quiet and pleasant! Rossano welcomed us with a bottle of his own wine, olive oil, fruit and veggies from his own garden and plum preserve, no doubt made by his Mother Lucia. We thouroughly enjoyed sleeping with the windows fully open - that was such a luxury for us Floridians! There is a modern spacious bathroom, washing machine, fully equipped kitchen, and really, everything you might need for an independent stay! The town if San Quirico is within 10-15 min easy walk so you have the best of both worlds. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer and participate in a grape harvest, which was to take place a few days after our departure... I bet it would have been a highlight of our trip to Italy!

We can do nothing but echo the fantastic reviews already here! We visited for 2 weeks for our honeymoon and were looked after so well. We were picked up from the village, had a welcome hamper on arrival with cake and home grown wine, help with booking a scooter and other problems, offers to pick us up from the supermarket when it was pouring with rain and finally the most amazing Italian meal made by Rossano's mother on our last evening.
The apartment is quaint and rustic with a lovely four poster bed, large bathroom and living area/kitchen. We made use of the patio and bbq and picked tomatoes and herbs from the guests veggie patch!
You are surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, yet only a 10 minute walk to the gorgeous town of San Quirico d'Orcia, a perfect balance. San Quirico d'Orcia is a wonderful, traditional village with good restaurants, our favourite being Trattoria Al Vecchio Forno. Antico Podere la Martinella is the perfect base, being central to some many beautiful places including Pienza, Montepulciano and Montalcino, all at most 20 minutes away.
We'd like to thank you again Rossano and the rest of the Bindi family for making our Tuscan experience so authentic and memorable!

We planned to stay only 4 nights, but stayed a couple extra nights and cancelled our trip to Cinque Terra since we enjoyed the hospitality of Rosanno and his extended family so much. Our 5 year old daughter was thrilled to make friends with his niece, celebrate carnevale in San Quirico and we all loved the cooking lesson from his mom. The cottage is a nice, easy 10 minute walk to SQ. It has nice views. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. It was very clean and charmingly decorated. SQ is well located for trips to Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano and Bagno Vignoni. We loved staying at Martinella and made enduring memories that are a highlight of our time in Italy.

This apartment had the benefit of being on a working farm and being within walking distance of the very nice wall city of San Quirico. What's special. Well, everything. From the very well designed apartment, the wonderful olive oil and wine as part of the welcome. The marmalade, honey, home made cake and six eggs. The entire family is special and Rosanno speaks quite good English.
The apartment was cleaner than any hotel, had great pots, pans and dishes as well. And the home made cherry liqueur was very special.
We will return.

A welcome basket and an even more welcome bottle of wine - what better way to start an eleven day stay. The apartment is sitated a short distance from the centre of the old, small town of San Quirico d'Orcia amongst the olive groves an vines. Florence, Siena, Perugia and Assisi are all easily accessible for a day out along with a host of other local towns and villages. However it is the hospitality and generosity of Rosanno and his family that really makes this such a wonderful place.
