This is a very old world classy establishment that takes you back in time. Perched on top of one of the many hillsides in the Vicenza area, the views are stunning and the place is peaceful almost to a fault. We enjoyed the fresh air of the hills to sleep as well as the calm quiet sanctity of this old...

Glad we booked this at a big discount as definitely not worth paying full price. The whole place (rooms, pool, bar) looks tired & in need of attention. Service was very slow due to lack of staff (waited 30 mins just for a coffee), menu is very limited (same for lunch & dinner) with everything leaning towards vegetarian (seafood but...

Dear, thank you for taking your time to review Villa Michelangelo. Stay here for the charm of being in the hills above Vicenza –relaxing in an old villa turned hotel. Gravel parking lots, big trees and a large lawn overlook an adjacent valley and town. Pleasant sitting rooms and lounge off the lobby, outdoor tables on the terrace, full dining room service for dinner as well as an outdoor/indoor pool and...

The hotel was spacious and very close to downtown. Clean rooms but wifi poor if your close to an elevator. The morning buffet is best on tour. Open lounge area with computer access. Rooms are very comfortable but the walls are a little thin so you have to be quiet

This old villa with beautiful architecture sits on top of a hill with a panoramic view of the town below. The ride up can be pretty steep and it's quite a distance from town so be sure to arrange proper transport if you plan to head out as the restaurant is closed when it isn't regular meal times. The grounds...

Breakfast was a decent set of fresh produce variety. The staff were patient and Ok. The scenery was breathtaking every morning. It is a very rustic hotel with a balance of modern plumbing, every girl's dream.

Very polite staff. Decent but very old fashioned rooms. Bed is about 40 years old. Wines are good. Beautifull swimmingpool, views and garden. Diner in the restaurant is poor. Not recommandable. People do their best but the hotel really needs an update as soon as possible.

This is a beautiful romantic villa atop a hill a few kilometers from Vicenza. There is nothing else to do in the area, but that is the point. This would make an excellent relaxing stop on a road trip across Italy. There’s a pool with a bar and great restaurant. The rooms are comfortable with nice views.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The softly rolling hills of this verdant landscape are what inspired the genius of architect Palladio, the same hills that still today surround the splendid setting of the exclusive Hotel Villa Michelangelo. Built in the 1700s as the country home of the noble Tomi family of Vicenza, this elegant and serenely harmonious building is the perfect place in which to leave the bustle of daily life behind and let yourself be pampered by the refined luxury and exquisite service offered here. Come to bask in the princely elegance of the spacious halls, the lovely guest rooms and suites, to enjoy the large swimming pool that sits surrounded by olive trees, indulge in the fine traditional cuisine at the La Loggia restaurant or relax with a round of golf at the nearby exclusive club. Vicenza, Padua, Verona and Venice are not far away for a day trip to discover the fine art, wine and local culture that dates back centuries. ... more   less
