I was personally welcomed and the host was very attentive throughout my stay - breakfast was offered earlier than usual for me due to my work commitments. The hotel was beautifully decorated throughout and the room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious!

We booked into Crossways for our wedding anniversary and from the start to finish of our meal the care and attention made us feel special. It is so good to see the menus change with the seasons and this reflects the choices on offer. The service was superb, the decor was fresh and clean. All throughout the meal the food...

We booked just one night in the cottage on the other side of the (busy/fast) road from the hotel on a weekend walking the South Downs. Fantastic location just off the National Trail and brilliant cottage - the biggest kitchen I've ever seen in a holiday home! Wished we could have stayed more than one night. David was so kind...

Dinner and overnight stay with friends - Wonderful as always! Dinner and Breakfast excellent as usual and bedroom very comfy. Evening weather fine and warm, so able to enjoy our champagne outside in the gazebo under the chandelier.

Clean, stylish rooms with lots of little extras like fresh milk, clothes brush and more. David the owner was very friendly and helpful. Dinner is available in a lovely looking bar and dining room. Great breakfast for the three of us and nothing to much trouble.

As we were moving a daughter to Eastbourne we drove past the hotel several times and we both said we must give that a try. What a good idea that was. We have had a busy year and wanted somewhere special to celebrate our 51st Anniversary. We could not have chosen better! From the very warm welcome we received when...

Two couples stayed in the cottage and the other ten people in our party stayed in the main hotel. The service and attention to detail was outstanding. I had been planning this birthday surprise for my husband with David's help for quite a while. Everything went to plan, the birthday dinner was amazing. Thankyou to Crossways for making the birthday...

Wishing Well Cottage is a superb little place. Surprisingly quiet given that its on the A27 with a deceptively large and secluded garden out back. And when inside, its all there; snug sitting room, open kitchen and a patio for cups of tea and reading the papers in the morning. The bedrooms are cosy and clean and the bathrooms -...

“There are only about 8 rooms and I've been in just about all of them over the years. They are all spacious bar one which is still adequate for a one or two night stay. The 'honeymoon suite' is very large and has an outside balcony which is lovely to use if you go in the warmer months. ”
