Went for tea with family. Sticky tables. Place looked tired and a bit grubby. Food was average but nothing amazing. Even though it's fairly cheap don't think I will be in a rush to go back. Worlds smallest kids indoor play area right next to the toilets!!!

Stayed as a couple at the Darrington. Room was comfy, and the Restaurant had good beer and food....but... To be roused from bed by persistent knocking on the door only to be confonted by either a Pimp or a Pervert offering a "threesome" is totally unacceptable. I informed the manager, who seemed to take no interest. My lady friend could...

We booked to stay at the Darrington at short notice when our niece got married at the nearby Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel. Upon arrival we where greeted by a pleasant receptionist who efficiently checked us in. The receptionist also kindly booked us a taxi to take us to the wedding reception. We chose to have a drink in the attached pub...

From the decor it's obviously at one point been a Premier Inn, however the fixtures and fittings maybe of that previous brand but the standard is more Premier Bin than Premier Inn now. Pros - Yes there are some... Handy for A1 & road links. Comfortable bed. Prices very reasonable in restaurant. Food really good. Cons - way too many!...

A lovely place to stay. Bedrooms lovely and clean, beautiful food too. The manager was very friendly and Peter the night porter is an absolute credit to the hotel and a lovely bloke. Thank you for accommodating our requests we will definitely use in the future.

Stayed here just one night. Room a decent size with large bed and good sized TV with free view. Sign in reception stating that there were wifi problems which I found meant that it was not available in all rooms but quite acceptable in the bar. I stayed for breakfast which was cooked to order and no complaints. Easy access...

Find Darrington an easy place to stay while in the area. Often stop for a meal while travelling on the A1 and always get pleasant service and value for money food. The staff are always helpful and its a nice relaxed place to stay. Have been staying for a couple of times a year for several years and have never...

Not a bad hotel for an overnight stay. Friendly staff, good size room with blackout curtains and good size flat screen TVs. Bathroom tired and tatty with no toiletries but clean. Rooms were quiet which was a pleasant surprise as the bar itself was very busy. Decent breakfast included in our room rate

This is the dirtiest hotel I have ever encountered...... truly filthy, damp and smells terribly. The place is like a crackhouse in a movie. Unhelpful scruffy staff. Didn't dare try the food in fear of food poisoning. Horrific!
