We stayed at this property for a return quick visit having been there in 2013 and 2017. We knew that our OWB would not likely be ready when we checked in because of the morning arrival. However, once the paperwork was finished the staff merely told us to wait. There was no recognition of being a previous guest nor ambassador. We waited for a bit and then went to the desk to request our luggage so that we could change into swimsuits to enjoy the beach or swimming before the room was ready. The staff did accommodate the request. However, in this situation I would have expected them to have offered ahead of time because it actually took more than two hours for the room to be ready. I am not sure if this is a service lapse or just a Covid related issue where things just aren’t what they used to be. We did stay in the Horizon view at the end of the dock, beautiful views as always, especially sunrise. Swimming was lovely and there were an amazing number of fish beneath the bungalow in the coral garden area (even an eel hiding the rocks!!). The kayaks are easily available and it is really nice to paddle over to the coral garden where all of the snorkel tours stop; reasonably nice but if you have ventured to other Island locations you realize that Bora-Bora does not have the best snorkeling. we have always enjoyed this property for it’s French Polynesian decor and authentic feel. Don’t miss the opportunity to walk out the west side and see the sunset over Matira beach. And certainly walk down the road a short bit to enjoy evening meals at the Lucky house. I think it might just be the little things (service promised and not delivered) that made us a bit disappointed this time -but I realize that everyone on the property is trying to make things work in the pandemic.

The hotel/resort is beautiful, everything you could wish for and more! We stayed for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon in an over water bungalow, the bungalows are very luxurious with a huge window from the bedroom looking out onto the ocean lagoon. The glass coffee table is a lovely touch, enabling you to see the fish with out getting in the water. The jetty leading you directly into your own part of the water is also ideal for private sunbathing. The beaches are beautiful white sand and the lagoon waters are crystal clear. I recommend water shoes with hard bottoms as the sea erchens are in good supply! During our 5 night stay we saw lemon sharks, black tip sharks, stingrays, eagle rays, puffer fish, along with hundreds of other fish I'd never seen or hurd of! We were also lucky enough to see a manta ray (on a snorkel/boat ride excursion) everything else we saw from around the bungalows. The food is very nice at the la moana, plenty of choice for breakfast including bacon, eggs, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, pastries ext. All very delicious and plentiful. We only had 1 evening meal in the hotel restaurant which was a buffet with a dance show. It was brilliant! I myself had prawns cooked in various ways with warn bread, sweet and sour chicken, vegetables, rice, salad and a variety of desserts including a fresh fruit and milk chocolate fountain! The show was fantastic! Other recommendations, bloody Mary's and st James', both restaurants very good! The cocktails at bloody Mary's are amazing and the steak at st James' is to die for! The jet sky excursion and the quad bike excursion both really good for seeing the rest if the island and the tour guides are very passionate and know their stuff. I can not fault this resort at all, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the French woman (who's name escapes me) but I believe may be a manager, is very lovely, attentive, keen to help and professional. Nothing was too much bother for her. Finally I would like to thank the staff and management at the la moana for a fantastic stay and say a very big well done on a fantastic job! The place runs like a well oiled idyllic machine. Bravo.

We had a lovely bungalow with a large deck leading into the lagoon. Our coffee table opened up so we could feed the fish. We had a big comfortable bed and a bath with an open air shower and a soaking tub. We are in bungalow 24 and the view is amazing. The most amazing thing about Le Moana is the staff!! They go out of their way to make sure you are happy and have everything you need. The cleaning staff kept our bungalow spotless and they were so quick. We’d go for breakfast and come back to a clean room. The restaurant staff was remarkable. Every member of the restaurant staff was friendly and very efficient. The breakfast always had lots to choose from. The front desk also made us feel well cared for. The manager came by every day as we had meals and asked us if we needed anything and if we were enjoying ourselves. Any request we made was addressed immediately. The concierge booked some excursions for us that were great. The beach is always clean and the beach staff take care of what you need. Every staff member that we ran across said hello and made us feel welcome. So many of them remembered our names. One night we had a really bad storm and the restaurant staff prepared canapés and had them delivered to all the bungalows with a bottle of wine. They went out in the storm to make sure we had food. Amazing!! On top of all of this, it was a great value. There are other exceedingly expensive places to stay here, but why would you when Le Moana is premiere in our experience.

We finished our honeymoon here for 2 nights in a premium overwater bungalow. The bungalow had the biggest deck, and bathroom, as well as a window overlooking the ocean from the bed. The bungalows had great AC and felt very spacious. The coffee table/window to look underneath at the reef opened so you can feed the fish. The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to make you feel special and welcome. The GM Laurence Levy came out to greet us at check in and congratulated us on our honeymoon. She also spoke with us at least once per day at meals to check in on us and make sure we were enjoying our stay. The food didn't disappoint in any way. We would absolutely love to come back for a visit and will highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Bora Bora.

We absolutely loved our 5 day stay at Le Moana! From the moment our boat pulled up to the welcoming smiles of the staff to the moment the boat pulled away with the staff there waving and smiling, this resort made us feel like we were right at home. We stayed in an overwater bungalow, and it was a perfect size with all the best amenities such as a separate bath, separate toilet room, a large closet, a super comfortable large bed, a great shower, and of course the most incredible views — views of the pristine waters of Bora Bora but also views of the beautiful fish below through the glass coffee table. The entire experience was perfection! The AC was cool, the WiFi worked great and was super fast, the breakfast buffets were delicious, housekeeping was impeccably thorough, the local dinner shows were so well done and entertaining, and we just loved loved LOVED the entire staff. The warmest most welcoming smiles. The food and drinks were also all next level. We recommend walking across the street to Matira Beach for sunsets. And we also took a cab to Bloody Mary’s for dinner — a must do while in Bora Bora. We also took a beautiful ferry ride over to the Intercontinental sister resort for a wonderful day at the spa. And while the other resort is newer, they are both equally luxurious yet we found Le Moana to feel warmer and more authentic. Regardless, both resorts are amazing. The only thing that would’ve made Le Moana slightly better would have been an on-site gift shop to get some IC Merch. Just a short walk down the street from Le Moana are great restaurants, a nice gift shop with super reasonable prices, as well the cutest little market. In fact, we were there in October and they were decorating the market for Halloween. Overall, we would highly recommend this property. One of the people (among so, so many) who made this stay so memorable was Rinako, who works as concierge. She was remarkable. She helped us with dinner reservations, taxis, spa appointments, and answered loads of our questions. And throughout our stay she remembered us, would always wave and smile, and would always check in with us to make sure everything we planned was going smooth. In fact, everyone who worked at the resort referred to us by our names the entire time and made us feel so special. A little piece of our hearts will always stay at Le Moana. It was just perfect!
