Hotel Castillo is placed in the heart of the medieval village of Alquezar. The building in which the hotel lays down was first a traditional house, and was restored and refurbished in 2013 to become the unique and splendid hotel it is today, preserving the traditional style so our guests enjoy the total immersion and the complete small-town experience. Our hotel only counts with 8 rooms, each of them unique and different from each other, combining modern, rustic and classic styles to offer a realxing and nice stay together with fantastic views of the town. Each of our rooms is named after a different olive variety from the area. All in all, a very calid and romantic environment to enjoy the village, its surrondings and have a wonderfun and unforgettable experience. For its convenient location, the hotel does not offer private parking spaces, however, the village does have several parking lots free of charge and well-signaled, which are only less than 5 minutes away from the hotel. It is also possible to drive the car up to the hotel to unluggage, in which case we would provide directions to the parking lot.

We stayed at Hotel Castillo on the last leg of our honeymoon, and it was by far our favorite lodging. The hotel has been recently renovated and is modern and clean while retaining all of its history and charm. There are great extras in the room, like a jacuzzi and a great sound system. The owners are kind and generous with their recommendations for restaurants and hikes.

Beautifully designed refurbishment of old house in this lovely village. The rooms were spotless and breakfast and service excellent. The continuous presence of overflying griffon vultures is a special attraction

Loved this hotel and beautiful little town. Our room was lovely, and the bed was super comfy. The bathroom was great with a really cool bathtub. Definitely pay the extra money and get a room with a little balcony - you won't regret it. Great location.

Stayed here as a group of 8 bikers on a road trip to Spain/Portugal. One of the group had stayed here previously and so had recommended it. Top choice, this town is a little cracker and you might want to reserve a table for the evening meal well in advance as it gets very busy. Regarding the hotel, it sits on a back street so you would need to know roughly where you are going to find it and you could probably stop to drop off bags etc but would have to move any vehicles straight away as it would block the road. For our bikes, the hotel has a secure parking just down a bit from the hotel but careful as the roads are blocks with a central water canal and tight turns. You wouldn't have to be a Trials expect to get to the garage but would be a bit intimidating for any novices. Hotel has a lift to serve all the rooms etc and the interior of both the rooms and hotel are excellent. Comfortable, clean and well finished it was a pleasure staying here. Breakfast was good but its not a buffet, quality products etc but you felt you were imposing if you wanted something more which i am sure you would not be.

This small hotel in a small town is a true little gem! Beautifully kept, by such helpful and lovely people, amazing furnishings, and a balcony that was an absolute delight! As others have noted, access by car is a little hairy(!) - but absolutely worth it!
