Just spent 2 nights for a little getaway and was completely in love with the whole space of this hideaway. Owner on site, and very accomodating and attentive in a super way, and each cottage has its own privacy. Own private fire pits and own view of the lake. Everything you could need and fixed up very nicely. It is aimed for a peaceful vacation and that is exactly what you get. Loved it.

Have stayed there for a week. Really great place. Newly renovated Cyprus cottage was perfect for our family of three. Quiet place, with private fire pit, right by the water. Kayaking is great. Very close to Tobermory and lots of trails in the parks. The owners take great pride in their work and really care about their guests. Will definitely recommend the place to friends and family. Thanks, Kim, for making it a perfect vacation for us!

As usual, Kim and Michael made our vacation the very best experience. The kids had tons of fun, and so did we. It was amazing to get away as a family, visit tobermory during the day, see the boats and chi-cheemaun, snorkel, see shipwrecks. And then to come back to a nice, quiet, quaint cottage with super amazing owners! Incredibly happy we came back up here, Kim and Michael make every vacation a memorable one.

I stayed at Neptune's Hideaway with my girlfriend and two friends a few weekends ago. Kim was immediately extremely nice and helpful. She was simultaneously always available when you needed help, but was never overbearing, never encroaching on our privacy. The cottage was adorable. Very cute and rustic, but extremely clean and convenient. Their is a new stove and the showers had hot water. Everything was way better than we expected and we knew it would be great. 5 stars and thanks Kim!

Due to bad business practices I will not be able to find out if this place is nice or not. I booked a cottage and because of a personal issue it was taken away. As a business owner myself I see this as completely wrong. Be careful with your money.

Hi Kevin I am so sorry that this turned out to be such a negative outcome for everyone involved. Us included This was certainly not my intention. With the unfortunate circumstance of being faced with 2 people claiming ownership of the same booking, I kept the reservation in the name of the person who sent the money deposit but I also offered you the opportunity to make your own reservation at another time, which I truly hope you will. Again, my apologies. Kinds Regards, Kim Humble Neptune’s Hideaway

It was awesome to stay at Neptune's Hideaway (May 2018). Owner Kim and her husband were perfect hosts. Great Location (very close to Tobermory) and facilities. Cottages have 2 bedrooms and can accommodate 4-5 people. We stayed at the Cameron cottage. Kayaks and Pedal boats are available for hire. The property is presently not pet friendly.

Beautiful location, stunning sunsets, great surroundings, wonderful hostess . . . we will be back!
Pet Friendly!!

We stayed in the larger "Superior" cabin, which at 1000ft/sq was more than we needed, two of us plus our border collie. All of the cabins have great views of the inlet and open water, and the susets are sublime.

This was a perfect spot for a base from which to begin exploring the area.

My best friend and I stayed for a week to relax and forget about city life and we did just that thanks to Neptune's Hideaway and the gracious hospitality of owner, Kim! There are four cottages and you can tell they were all carefully crafted and loved for years, you also feel privacy when you need it, which is nice when you're on a getaway. Each cottage has a private fireplace and you must purchase firewood for $5/milk crate from Kim on site and she delivers it to your home away from home. She's got an on site store as well in case you need ice or more importantly, ice cream. Chips and drinks and some other items are also sold. We stayed in the Cypress cottage and it has everything you might need: satellite tv/pvr, keurig, warm water, super amazing comfy beds and pillows, and all sheets and towels for bedroom, kitchen and bathroom provided etc. FYI: The water is tinted yellow due to tannins but totally safe! It adds to the rustic charm. All the cottages share the same waterfront but no one really uses it at the same time but there's lot of space and seating options if everyone is out all at once. I swam about a km out in warm-ish water (it's tobermory, you can't expect warm waters) that gets shallow again halfway out. Once you reach lake huron, the current is strong and the water gets choppy from the waves that you can hear back at the waterfront since there are some islands that separate Warner's Bay from the lake. It is on the warmer side of tobermory, the other side on georgian Bay is said to be colder. If you are looking for Sandy beaches you should try singing sands (warm/shallow/sandy) or dunks Bay (cold/Sandy). Everywhere else you need water shoes, including the waterfront at Neptune's since it's rocky and sometimes muddy. You can also fish off the dock or launch kayaks that Kim rents out for a reasonable price. You can also rent canoes/paddle boards from thorncrest outfitters in town and they will deliver it for a small fee to Neptune's if you want that experience as well. There's also a really great bakery at the beginning of Warner's Bay road and hwy 6 - the best breakfast pizza and tarts/donuts/breads are there! Gf options too! Neptune's is seriously a great place to stay. It's affordable, close to everything and so comfortable. Not to mention the amazing hosts who are willing to help out any way they can to make sure your vacation is the best yet! Shout out to Kim for taking care of us and joining us for a couple of old fashions and smores throughout out time there. If you're looking for memories, this is the place to make them! Great for kids and pets! We'll be back for sure.

The Superior Cottage was very clean and cozy, it was perfect for my family of 5. The view from the cottage was beautiful, and coupled that with Kim's hospitality, we highly recommend this place. It was unfortunate that our short weekend trip was met with bad weather. Despite the rain and wind, we still managed to enjoy the breathtaking foliage while hiking on our first day. Too bad we had car issues on the second day, so we didn't get a chance to explore much. What made the trip memorable was our warm and kind hearted hosts, Kim and Mike. Thanks to their generosity and help, we were able to take care of our car problems. Our family is indebted to them for their selfless support throughout our stay. We look forward to booking with them again!

We stay in Huron cottage and the view from our window we could see the white waves caps on Lake Huron in the distance. This is small cottage that as two queens beds in two separate bedrooms, a dresser in each bedroom however no closet. The seating area has one comfortable chair and 3 person couch. If 3 people were sitting on couch it would be difficult to watch the small television which has wide selection of tv channels since it is connected to satellite. The kitchen was very small and very little counter space to make meals.Compare to rest of the cottage the bathroom was large with only a small shower stall that was adequate for showering in. The cottage was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was very quiet spot and on warm dry days one could enjoy the deck with comfortable Adirondack chairs while enjoy the view and listening to the waves from lake Huron. We there to enjoy some hiking in the surrounding area were there are many place to hiking in the area. It makes a great option to getaway for an easy short stay in the Tobermory area while having a bit more space than hotel room and place to relax.
