Detailed Reviews
Campground was great. Kids loved the pool and the cart rental. While we didn’t have the most private site they have available at the campground, we made it work. Site was a decent size and very level. Grounds have 3 bathroom building with 5 or 6 showers in each building. Showers were $1 for 8mins and water was hot.
Very close to national park and Tobermory. We will be back next year and are looking forward to it!

We picked this family campground since the showers were closed in the Ontario and Canada parks. We had the last campsite in the secluded section. Very nice campground, large sites, firewood delivered to our site every afternoon. The showers were clean but a little far from our campsite. We had to drive there once or twice a day. 2 chemical toilets were closer to our sites, cleaned every day and hand sterilizer always available.
The only downside to our stay is the loud neighbours we had for 2 nights. The campground should rounds more regularly or provide a phone number 24/7 to address these situations promptly.

Our family rented the “standard” cabins (2) because the premium cabins were full. Would definitely get those ones next time, because they have bathrooms. Short walk to the nearby bathrooms wasn’t bad though. They were nice & clean with flush toilets, although the showers were cold! There is a lot of fun activities for kids - a big, well laid out playground, fun animal shaped paddle boats, kayaks, splash pad, pool, “hammock island” and some “people powered” gym equipment. Go karts available to rent, which everyone enjoyed. The kids enjoyed the little petting zoo too. Located in the lovely Tobermory area. We also really appreciated the God honouring Bible verses posted around the camp - quite refreshing to see! Would definitely come back again!

We've been RV camping at Tobermory Village Campground since 2016. We LOVED it at first. It was truly a family campground then. The older gentleman owner would regularly patrol the park and enforce the rules. There was never any noise past 10pm, no loud music during the day, and no dangerous dogs running around. We felt very safe and let our kids run free throughout the park without a second thought.
In 2019 things began to change. We never saw that older gentleman owner anymore, and from that point forward, we never had a decent night's sleep ever again. NO ONE enforces a single rule listed on their website.
We returned from a camping trip within the last month and once again there were campers all around us talking very loudly, and playing music until 2am! During the day and all weekend, families played cricket in the middle of the street (despite having a giant field at their disposal) and made walking and driving by impossible. No-one stopped them. The pool is completely unusable when the weather is hot, and the people using it are in there fully clothed and using it as their personal bath time. The campers across from us let their dog bark day and all night...they even tied their dog outside all night, and not one said anything. And speaking of dogs, I don't know why they bother to ask for the breed when you book if they're not going to stop certain breeds from being allowed. We saw a huge, anxious and reactive pitbull at a campsite...that's our last straw.
We now see very few management driving around and those that do whip around in a very fast dune buggy-like vehicle. No one is around after 6pm, and there's no way to get a hold of management after the office closes.
So, if you're looking for a hedonistic party campground where you can do whatever you'd like and no one will bother you, then Tobermory Village Campground is perfect!
But if you're camping with small children and you value a safe and quiet campground and a good night's sleep, then book elsewhere.

Big rig friendly, excellent sites lots of privacy and awesome amenities. Customer service is also top notch. Quick and easy check in process. The location is a 5 minute drive to the Tobermory marina where you can ship and dine. We highly recommend.

We weren’t sure what to expect but wow what a great camping spot. Maybe it’s because we’re here during the week in September but we really enjoyed this place and could see family with kids having a great time. It’s clean, lots to do and nearly every spot is awesome. We have a big rig and noticed All spots are large, flat, grass, easy to get into, mostly treed, we’ll cater for service posts and somewhat private except about 3 spots (442, 444, 446 not private and no shade). The tent spots are amazing and we were a bit jealous. We didn’t need many of their amenities but they’re clean. Pool was nice. Staff are around and available but leave you alone. Free Wifi is a bit misleading as it’s only really available at their club house (and maybe sites next to that) otherwise not available at most sites. We’re far from home but would come again if we’re ever back this way.

Pictures of the woodsy quiet tent sites for those who enjoy nature are abusively deceiving. It’s all screaming unsupervised children, adults and teenagers until past 11:30, dogs barking for hours at a time, adults and kids yelling at each other on rental pedal quads, loud music played to yell on top of, and guys hanging out in the women’s bathroom, this place was a nightmare.
After camping since we were kids, and in places that don’t specifically “require” there be no music or fires at night, this is the worst campground my husband and I ever visited. We notified the front desk of the unreal amount of yelling and all out screaming around our site and late at night. We got shrugs. We tried calling after 11:30 because it was happening again, but no one picks up the phone. Clearly there is no monitoring done for this supposed quiet time, though some reviews suggest being told to leave for making too much noise, can’t imagine how loud they needed to be.
After 3 days and nights of stress and avoiding time on the campground to maintain our sanity, we took the $ loss and just left with 3 more nights to go. The “convert to the Old Testament” quotes on the map and across the grounds are a poor and eerie attempt at distracting for the hell that was, and they didn’t reimburse others as noted in the reviews so we avoided the argument and additional stress of uncharitable behaviour.
And agreed with the other negative reviews: the wifi that doesn’t work except next to the kids’ pool and no data coverage, the bizarre excess of flies, the unmaintained Quebec-like craters and speed bumps, and the cold management that acts like every second of greeting you is a reminder of how bleak their existence is. And all this still falls short of the Lord of The Flies screaming hell this was.
It’s a money pit that should honestly more clearly display its catering to young loud families specifically. I’m sure the owners will suggest otherwise, why would they not?
If you want to camp in an out-of-control children’s theme park, this is for you, fill your boots! Surviving 3 nights as a calm considerate camper should however get you a gold badge and a high five.
We will have to get some satisfaction from telling the stories of the Campground Of The Damned instead.
I wish there were negative stars to give.

My only complaint was the overpriced, punky, wet wood. When I brought this to their attention, they couldn't care less and admitted they ran out of the good stuff. I would suggest buying your wood from the location a few properties north of the park as he has a great price and great quality.

Went to this campsite from June 28 and returned today July 3. in our group were adults, teens and children. There was lots of activities for everyone to enjoy.
Tent campsite with water and electrical was very clean and well kept the bathrooms and shower house was always clean.
Definitly try the peddle Karts it gives a good work out and tour of the camp grounds. They had 1 of 2 playgrounds in front of our site we couldnt use due to covid guidelines but that would have been fun for the kids. the paddle boats abd canoes at the lake were fun. the swimming pool is nice and cool with seats around the deck. Splash pad was refreshing on a hot day.
Night time after 1100 was quiet time which was nice. you can still play games as long as it is quiet. We were never bothered by staff or other guests we are all here having family fun. anyways after all the activities furing the day you're wiped out tired especially the kids.
Staff members were very friendly and answered all questions and concerns.
This was our first time tent xampming and i am glad we chose here. very friendly and clean service. we definitly want to come back next year.
Thanks for a wonderful experience

We were, like several other reviews have stated, a little nervous about their strict rule enforcement. We did not see or have any issues. The whole park quiets down 100% at 11pm. But we had a fire most nights until midnight, and no-one said anything to us. We were quiet and respectful of to our neighbours, as very other neighbour seemed to be to us. We would hear noise until 10, maybe 10:30. Then quiet. It is a family campground, I would not recommend it in the least for someone coming to party.
The camp sites are smaller as per most private camp grounds, but they do a tremendous job of placing trees and bushes between each site for privacy.
The play grounds all look home made, but with very extensive detail and unique touches. Our kids could not wait to get up in the morning to play on them, or get back from our days adventures to go back to the play grounds.
The pool was nice and clean, along with the little splash pad. All bathrooms were clean every time I used them.
My only complaint, fix the pot holes in the roads. It helps slow traffic, but when pulling in our out with the trailer, it was terrible.

Hello there
I was wonder if your place is available for 2 family of 3 and one pet from Aug 22-Aug24
Thanks
Hi, please email the campground directly for availability questions
Kind regards:)
Yes bring both
They have a bed with a bottom sheet but that's all...bring sleeping bags or blankets
There is a heater in the cabin in case it gets cold, which occasionally it does
We brought our own little fan because it was hot when we were there
We always stay in the premium cabins too, they are amazing!!
Have fun
Hi.The cabins don't have air conditioning.
I'm not sure your experience, but they harassed us for everything! Four adults staying up past 11pm sitting at the campfire is apparently a huge no no for them. We were told to go to bed...and we are only allowed to whisper. They hid in the bushes near our site watching us. And video taped us when they asked us to lower our voices. It was all over the top and a bit ridiculous...they treated us like we were the worst people in the world! We had two campsites and trailers full of kids. Loved the place...but my goodness they were on a power trip over everything. Even asked us where we got our wood because it was a different colour bag then theirs, told us to go to bed, told us we would be evicted if we weren't whispering...overall I will never return. with my family. I like to enjoy camping and follow rules but not be told what to do everything 5 minutes. Way too religious of a place for me!!
