We stay whenever we visit Tobermory ..I wish it could be kept a secret for my own selfish reasons ... haha
The service is friendly . The cabins are cute , clean and surprisingly decently sized . They smell fresh and woodsy .
The shared washrooms are tiny , but it’s really not too bad .
The shower facilities are kept impeccably clean.
We love it here.

We had a wonderful stay at Roxy's. Our cabin was clean and neat, the owner was helpful and kind. Across the street from the National Park. Great locations, friendly people and great stay. Highly recommend!

Cabin #4 was great. Low season stay for 3 nights. Bunk, table and 2 chairs inside, 2 chairs for outside, awning for cover, fire pit, picnic table. Cozy, simple, quiet. Loved sitting by the fire on those cold fall nights.

Washroom and showers were close by and clean. Two shower rooms did eat our toonies though :)

Located in between Halfway Log Dump and the Grotto so you can get to either location in a few minutes. We stayed after high season, so Tobermory was nice and quiet, and we practically had the trails to ourselves.

Would stay here again! Thanks for everything.

We went to that place years ago and it was great.

Now, with new owners.
The price is not $80 per night but $150 plus tax. There is no electricity available. Owner refused to refund since we decided not to stay and kept total amount of $195. He also asked that we do extra $200 deposit for possible damages. They also ask payments by e-mail transfers without receipts eventhough we did not stay.

The guy who runs this place is rude to people before they even hire a cabin, was planning on staying here and changed my mind. Asked to see a Cabin and was given attitude, doesn't know much about hospitality, as its common to see the rooms especially if you don't have photos on your flyers.

My boyfriend and I wanted to go to Tobermory and didn't know where to stay. Thanks to Tripadvisor, we found out about this hidden gem. This property is now being ran by new management which is a major bonus as all the cabins were upgraded along with the public facilities.

For the cabins, there is a choice of two beds side-by-side or two bunk beds. These beds were double beds so you can sleep two people comfortably on them. Since each cabin is 100 square feet and there were only two of us, we were recommended to choose the bunk bed cabins as it would be the best utilization of space. We totally agreed after seeing the cabins. Besides the double beds, each cabin has a table, two chairs, electrical outlets, trash can, small broom and dusting pan. What amazed us is that the beds were lined with fresh plastic sheets and there was a screen door to prevent bugs from coming in.

Outside the cabin, we were offered a picnic table, two chairs, and a fire pit. If you want to build a fire, you can easily purchase fire wood from the variety store just a few steps away. You can also park your car directly outside the cabin.

The public areas are what impressed us the most. There were two washroom that were kept very clean. My only advice is to remember to bring your own soap when going to the washrooms. But they are well lit and have paper towels and toilet paper. There is multiple showers that you can use and it is $2 for 2 minutes. Remember to collect your toonies! Outside of the showers and washrooms, there's a public area where you can wash your dishes. There was even dish detergent for us!

My boyfriend loves to camp and I'm not a huge camper. So this was a great median that offered us the experience of camping without having to set-up a tent and having electricity. I wouldn't hesitate to come here again and would recommend everyone to do the same. It is much more cost effective in comparison to camping or going to a Bed and Breakfast.

These are cute, clean cabins that smell of natural pine,(# 4 and #5 are largest and most aesthetically pleasing) nestled in a wooded area behind a Gas and variety stop. It is as private as most campgrounds I have visited, probably more so.
It's a 10 minute drive from Tobermory harbours. It is around the corner from Singing Sands (Dorcas Bay) beach, which is AMAZING for little kids! Shallow! Clean as could be! No safety fear here as with most beaches because of shallow, calm and clear water
Priced well, almost the same as I pay for a campsite in a Provincial park.
The beds are comfortable. We had cabin 4 and it had 2 double bunks, which left decent floor space and there was a little table.
Fire pit, picnic table, wash line and 2 outdoor chairs. The covered deck is a BIG bonus in the rain!!!!
There is an overhead light in cabin.
Problems: 1 toilet for all 8 cabins. We were gone most of the day, so used public washrooms elsewhere. Also, they have electricity, but ours didn't have an outlet. We unplugged the extension cords that were running from cabin to cabin roof. BRING AN EXTENSION CORD! This way, you can plug it in from cord on roof(can reach easily) and run your cord to your picnic table, as we brought a toaster and kettle, and plugged in our phones-ipods.
There are 4 showers that cost a toonie per shower.
The campfire wood is expensive, $7, but burned really well.

We REALLY wanted to stay here, and even booked over long weekend according to their availability.

The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, the cabins are cute and clean and each campsite is well maintained. The bathrooms and shower facilities were also very well maintained. The location was perfect, just a few minutes away from Cyprus Lake & Singing Sands Beach. And about 10 minutes away from Tobermory. We really loved the cabins and the space between the campsites.

However, we didn't enjoy our stay as much as we had hoped. Inside each cabin are a list of rules/guidelines. 2 of those were:

1. You have to buy wood from Roxy's but the wood is dry.
- We bought wood from Roxy's for both nights, $7/box. The wood was extremely wet and took a while to get going. We had some firestarter sticks so it wasn't bad, but we could see other campers struggling with the wood for some time.

2. Keep noise levels at a minimum.
- We drove 4 hours away from the city to enjoy the beauty of nature and some peace. We hoped that this rule would be adhered to, unfortunately it wasn't. There was a group of people in 2 cabins (it seemed like 10+ people for 2 smaller cabins, not sure how they could all fit) that were so loud and obnoxious. They played music and talked at such a loud pitch that I doubt everyone in the campsite didn't hear them. The first night they did this until 3:30AM, my husband went over at 2:30 and asked them to please quiet down, they laughed and continued on.

The 2nd night they moved their party to the cabin across from us, so it wasn't AS abrasive but still we heard them screaming their words and blasting their music. I felt bad for the couple behind them and the family to their right. At a little past 1AM one of the parents from the campsite beside them came over and asked them to please quiet down as their kids couldn't sleep, my husband then walked over and reiterated that we get that they want to have fun, but please respect everyone else. So they started to quiet down.

We were disappointed that the staff did not intervene. There was an employee that rode his ATV through the campsite several times throughout the night, but who either didn't hear the ruckus over the sound of his engine, or didn't feel the need to put an end to the partying.

So I would say, stay here if you don't mind the noise because it really is a nice campsite, perhaps request a cabin further to the back. Or stay here if you're looking to party up north.

Since we really try to seek out the sounds of nature rather than dance music from the 90s and screaming shrill voices, we will most likely stay somewhere that has strict noise restrictions as we've read there are several sites in the area that really push that.

We stayed in Cabin number 1 from July 3 to 5 2015. We really have no complaints. If i had to make one suggestion, it would be to fix the door. It was very tricky to lock up and had to make quite the slam to get it to lock properly. The cabin was just perfect. Good size bunkbeds a table and chairs and another chair as well. I liked how we had a window for fresh air. The cabin smelled clean and very woodsy. I would absolutely stay here again though. It was very clean! The showers were clean and the bathrooms were amazingly clean! i noticed the floors were washed 4 times the one day!! The wood was a reasonable price of 7 dollars per bin and it was a very close walk or drive to your campsite from the store. The store even had propane and and anything you could think of in case you forgot it at home. The location was fantastic as it was right across from the Bruce Peninsula National Park. The people who owned it/worked there were very nice and it was a busy spot! We purchased gas there and munchies as well. Lots of tourists coming through the area and stopping by to purchase gas/goods. Absolutely great trip, we will recommend to others!!

My friends and I reserved two sites at Roxy's in August. I had called beforehand and they said they had two tent sites available. Roxy's is right off the main road and acts as a gas bar, main store and shower facility for the public. That being said it is very clean and well run. Our sites were at the back of the property which offered us the privacy we wanted while accommodating my friends dog who we brought along as well. The sites included a table and fire pit and although there is rules it is much less restrictive than the national parks. I would highly recommend Roxy's for its great location right across the street from the grotto entrance (10 minute drive to parking lot) and other Tobermory attractions including Singing Sands Beach. The owners are friendly and continue to update the properties cabins and sites. This is not backwoods camping by any means but if you need an alternative to the National Parks it offers a place to stay while still enjoying everything Tobermory has to offer!!
