We stayed there for 5 days at Tobermory. The room was clean and well decorated as per the picture on the website. The room did have a small bar fridge which was not mentioned on the website but was great as it was the one thing that we felt it was missing. The office has a Keurig machine and you can get coffee anytime which is great as I love my coffee and it was good coffee. The motel is a 10 minute walk to "downtown" Tobermory and all the restaurants which is quite convenient as you have to pay for parking everywhere in the town. All in all, we loved it. My only complaint was it was a bit pricey at $200/night but there were definitely many more expensive places when I was trying to book not many had 5 day availability and I booked a month before we were going.

We stayed in the King bed room on the top floor with the beautiful view of the harbour.
The room is nicely decorated and spacious. The bed is very comfortable, and there is good water pressure in the bathroom. The room also includes a fridge.
The staff is very friendly. We loved the decks at this hotel as well.
The only reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is that we discovered that this particular room has an adjoining door to the next room, and you can hear everything from the next room, through the door - no soundproofing there at all. You might want to consider this, because this room is more expensive due to the view.

We booked a few weeks ago and found a room. Never having been to Tobermory we didn't know where to book, but I am so glad we ended up there. It was a five minute walk from the main strip where it was busy and was right on the water, with a spot to snorkle and see 3 shipwrecks within 10 metres of the deck across the street. It is a five minute bike ride from the Bruce Trail. The office was open 24 hours with a Keurig machine available (the restaurant is closed right now) so bring food for breakfast if you can. We didn't mind packing our bedding up in a bag at the end of the trip as it has kept the prices down. The room was clean, cool and well set up. The staff was helpful, friendly and available if needed. Thank you.

Stayed at the Grandview Inn for 2 nights while in Tobermory for hiking. We stayed in Room 15 with 2 queen beds. Amazing sunsets views, beautiful view of the lake, quiet area of town but a short walk to everything.

Not sure about the negative reviews I've read here (although many are from 5 years ago). Our room was clean, comfortable and appeared recently renovated. No issues with size in the washroom/shower. We had a fridge in our room. Wifi and cable were good for our purposes. Bonus- coffee and tea were available in the office 24 hours a day. The decks are amazing with comfortable outdoor furniture. BBQ is available. Staff were very friendly. It appears that the rooms have different configurations based on the number of beds. Not a criticism but honest opinion, rooms are not huge so if you are a family of more than four, you may find you're on top of each other in the room but the patio/decks allow for outdoor space to eat, play board games, read a book, enjoy the views. This is not the big city.....don't expect high speed internet and the Ritz. Prices for accommodations are increased all over Canada due to staycations. Would stay here again!

They had overbooked their rooms. Good thing we showed up with our printed and emailed confirmation of 2 beds but they could only offer us 1 bed, which made for an uncomfortable stay . The woman who helped us even claimed we were wrong until we showed her the emails we received that confirmed our booking. While we remained polite, she lacked professionalism by being unkind, accusatory, and never apologized after she saw our confirmation email. The next day, there was a room available (matching our original booking) and she said we didnt have to pay extra for our new room as if she was doing us a favour. I remained polite the entire time throughout our stay with this condescending service, but I realize now in hindsight, we were very mistreated by the staff. I can sense they have prejudices against certain people and that they do not treat all guests equally.

I also had red bumpy bites all over my torso when I got home. I don't think they were bed bugs but I immediately washed all my clothes, to be safe. I had called the motel after and they said it wouldn't have been bed bugs and that it could have been other bugs while hiking. To be safe, check the mattresses before sleeping.

We had a wonderful stay at this motel! Everything was clean, the rooms and outdoor sitting areas. They have many amenities for the guest. In the office area you can find coffee and tea, a microwave hair dryers. They have 2 barbecues for guest to use as well as 3 pretty sitting areas. This was one of my favourite parts being able to mingle with friends and other guest throughout our stay. The motel is well situated just walking distance from restaurants and stores. The staff was so so so incredibly helpful and resourceful when we needed them. We cannot thank you enough for your help on our trip. I would recommend this place to everyone going to Tobermory!

The motel was an excellent location, tucked away and had gorgeous sunset views. We could walk to everything in town and the bay was right beside us where we went paddle boarding, saw many shipwrecks and many ships coming in. The motel has 2 floors and we stayed in room 15.(lower level) There are 3 decks around the motel and the upper deck was fabulous for us. We had snacks, drinks on the deck and the outdoor furniture was comfortable. The front office offered keurig coffe and tea. Ice machine available with ice buckets. This is offered 24 hrs. The lower deck offered a BBQ as well. Our room was very clean with 2 queen beds and 3 people was enough. 4 in a room could be a little tight. Yes we could hear some noise above us ( mostly running feet) but it is a motel. The staff were awesome. I would recommend this motel. The cost of everything has gone up everywhere so in my opinion, the rate was reasonable.

Away from the congested centre of things but within easy walking distance of everything. We didn’t move our car, so we avoided the need to pay for parking elsewhere. Small room but well appointed with nice linens and a heated bathroom floor. Reliable internet. Ample seating on several decks. And the coffee is excellent,

We stayed here for 1night while visiting a friend in the area and the bed and room was comfortable but the price was was way overpriced for a weekday. No coffee machine in room you had to hike all the way to the office outside to get ice or coffee. Not bad but except when pouring rain. No phone in room. Rate was $248/ night. Glad we only stayed 1 night. You had to drive to get food anywhere nearby and try to find a parking spot was almost impossible.

We stayed in room #20, and it had a lovely view from inside the room, plus a terrific deck with comfy patio furniture right outside. The bed was comfy - and the sheets were so soft! We slept well, and appreciated having a mini-fridge in-room.
