This is a hard review to write as this place was not great but it was comfortable and a nice place to stop in a rustic location off the beaten path and we enjoyed out stay. We arrived here after a day's drive from Prince Rupert. The scenery on the drive in was spectacular and definitely worth the 112km off the main highway. The lodge consists of a couple rooms in a house down from the main restaurant. When we were there the rooms in the main restaurant were being renovated. The main building is the old Hudson Bay trading post so has a lot of history. The house we were in had three rooms and two share toilets. One had a shower in it. We were upstairs in a room with three beds in it. Although there was a kitchenette there it wasn't working so we just used the counter to put our stuff out on. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. It was a very hot day and there is no air conditioning so the staff brought in a fan for us. I was expecting to b very uncomfortable but I slept fine as did the kids. There is not TV or phone (no cell signal at all) here which was nice in its own way. We enjoyed walking around the property and down to the river which is directly in front. We walked over to the museum and had a private showing there which was interesting. A fun stop and definitely worth the drive. Just keep in mind it is not luxury accomodations.
