Mrs. Ngoc, an extremely nice lady. Always with a smile on her face. Very responsive on WhatsApp. Very innocent and humble as well. She’d try to accommodate every request you make. You can book bus services, tours, scooters, tuk tuks airport pickup/drops and taxi services here. Tuk tuks are affordable and quite cheaper to travel here if you’re okay with the heat. There’re cooking classes done by Mrs Ngoc as well. I saw 3 European ladies engaging with that activity which seemed to be very interesting. Those cooking classes include pick up and drop off from your hotel, if you’re not staying here.

Rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. AC and fan available. Food is in big portions but for reasonable prices, (not expensive at all). I couldn’t even finish the portions they gave. So I had to request them for smaller portions. WiFi is good and great breakfast. Hospitality is 10/10. Currency exchange is also available which I’ve also used to get Laos kip.

Stayed 2 nights with them. If you’re planning to visit Pakse, please support them, genuine people.

A fantastic stay just outside the city. Great food, great hospitality, host was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Ngoc the owner also organised our tuk tuk from the airport and a tuk tuk driver to take us to a couple of local temples. This is the best place to stay in Pakse!

We arrived after a long bus ride and felt immediately welcomed and very comfortable. It started with the fact that the owner arranged a tuktuk to pick us up at the point where the bus had dropped us. We had communicated via WhatsApp and she had already arranged a trip to the Bolaven Plateau the next day for us.
Our room was spacious and very clean, the breakfast was delicious and the whole atmosphere very relaxed. The garden is situated away from the road and therefore very quiet.
We also booked our ongoing bustrip to Champasak from here and we were really sorry to leave. Next time we are back in the area will will stay here again.

I booked this place because of the glowing reviews but was very disappointed. So much so that I moved on after one night even though I had booked for three knowing that I couldn't get my money back.
I found my room (room 5) dreary and depressing, very tired and in need of decoration though they had made an effort with fresh flower petals on the bed.
I couldn't sleep as the aircon didn't work (it was repaired the next day but I still paid full price), there were windows at ceiling height with no curtains (all rooms have these) and dogs were barking.
The food was average in my opinion. You have to book the time of your meal and what you would like to eat in advance.
The owner was helpful and seemed genuinely concerned that I was moving on.
I just couldn't be comfortable there and it was incovenient for me to be so far out of town on a main road as I don't ride a motorbike.
I found a much better option in town (modern, clean, bright) for less than half the price which suited me much better.
I am surprised there aren't more reviews like mine for this place. I really think you can find much better places in Pakse.

I loved this place close to Pakse. Upon arrival I was offered cold tea and fresh fruits. The room was very spacious with airconditioning and a fan, good bed and good shower. The food was delicious (I had dinner and breakfast with good coffee), and the owner is so nice and helpful. I will come back to this place! Thank you 🙏

In addition to excellent food, Ngoc, the owner of the accommodation, is particularly noteworthy. During our entire 5-week holiday in Laos, we met no one as lovable, warm and courteous as her. Her constant availability, kindness and above all the warmth with which she tries to read and fulfill every wish from the eyes is simply indescribable. All this and the accommodation run with great attention to detail let us run out of superlatives. We are already at a slightly more advanced age and have already travelled to many countries of the world but such a warm hostess is nowhere near us.
Thank you very much Ngoc, you made our stay with you special.

I stayed here for a week as I needed a break from cities and constant travel.
I felt very at home during my stay here. Ngoc was a wonderful host - very kind and attentive, and her food was delicious. I highly recommend the cooking class. It is also easy to book trips and long distance journeys, and Ngoc would call a tuk tuk driver for me when I needed to go into Pakse, as I did not have a bike.
If you need a rest from constant travel and to spend some time in nature, then I highly recommend!

My wife & I had the pleasure of staying here for 6 nights. Ngoc (the owner and main host), was absolutely incredible! From the very beginning she was an absolute star/angel, always smiling and very professional, excellent cook, helped us out with tours & transportation, recommendations etc. She in an outstanding chef and we couldn't wait to eat the next meal! Entire stay was very authentic and living with a Laotian family. Rooms are basic, but very spacious with comfortable bed and mattress. Would highly recommend Ngoc and her family!

Hello,

I am writing this review to encourage a stay at Xuanmai Garden Resort.

My husband and I were traveling through southern Laos and this spot became our contact place. When we travel we like a home base and nothing could be more perfect than the Xuanmai Garden Resort.

It is a beautiful sheltered spot about five kilometers from the airport. We loved it! From here you can make day trips to the Bolavan Plateau and the temple ruins at Vat Phou. Ngoc arranges all our travel for us. After breakfast here your transportation arrives. What could be easier and less stressful.

If you are a small business owner and would like a spot for a retreat this is perfect. There are twenty rooms reasonably priced, and gardens and small tables to meet and collaborate.

If you choose a menu, Ngoc can prepare a dinner for your large group! So much better than the large, impersonal hotels in Paske!

Enjoy your stay!

The bad things first; it’s situated next the the main road and are very busy at weekends, but “in the garden” you actually don’t hear the traffic. The restaurant gave us the only meal, while being in Laos, that was totally uninspired and of bad quality. That said; the service in the resort is super and the bungalows are quiet. A free internet works. The pool looks good and are at its best early mornings... afternoons are busy. If you are in need for a pit stop driving the Bolaven’s without having to high expectations, it may work.
