The Alisa Hotel is quite new and located behind their guesthouse on the main road. Reception was welcoming. The room was clean and modern and comfortable for a night. Bathroom was good and decent Wifi. There is storage space and a comfortable bed but no safe. Breakfast was basic but fine. We booked through Agoda but Agoda’s pay at the hotel is a scam. They charge 3% on card and if you choose to pay in local Kip their conversion rate is poor. There was little occupancy, if we stayed again we would pay the much cheaper cash rate and skip Agoda. It is fine for a night but we didn’t return to it as we passed through Paksé again and stayed at the comparable but cheaper Sang Aroun across the street.

Very comfortable room. Everything was there for only $ 12-15. (depending if you';re alone/two or three persons), Nice room, airco, full bathroom with hot shower, towels, etc. Tv & free WIFI service. The staff was very nice & helpfull. They have also computers available in the hall & lobby (if you don't have your own). This guesthouse/hotel also rents out motorbikes (reasonable prices) and can help you with your travelplans around Pakse or within Laos or your connections to Cambodia, Vietnam or Thailand (they sell bustickets). The Alisa guesthouse don't serve breakfast. For food there are some restaurants nearby.. Next to them, is The Beloaven Cafe (very good food & coffee, but not so cheap). About 50-100 meter away on the corner, there is Dao Lin Restaurant, good Lao & Western food, they also have a good selection for breakfast.

Really lovely room which was spacious, clean, bright, modern and had very comfy beds. A rare find in Laos!

The staff let this place down. We had a very frosty welcome by the girl on reception who looks so young that to be honest I thought must be the person working there's daughter! We heard her speaking near fluent English with other customers but when there was a problem with our booking which we tried to resolve, all of a sudden, she spoke no English! Very infuriating and such a shame as this place would've been 5/5 plus!

The Alisa Guest house is very nice.
It is about mid range so we payed 120000Kip for a double bed room but the nice and clean rooms and the hot shower is really worth it.
We stayed there just one night but we could have stayed longer.
We also rented motorbikes at the hotel and everything went great.
The motorbikes are well maintained and even going around the Bolaven Plateau and the very bad roads was no problems with these good bikes.
As we rented the motorbikes more than 3 days they charges us 50000 kip per day and per motorbike.
The people are really nice and another advantage is that the hotel is located directly beside the very great Bolaven cafe with good breakfast and the best organic coffee from the Bolaven plateau

Large room with great beds, fresh linen, cold air-con, TV, WI-FI, hot shower, fridge and a balcony with a view of the main drag...clean throughout and efficient laid back reception staff...close to a great Malay/Indian eatery as well as the "Pizza Boy" restaurant...This guest house is great value for its high standard!

We wanted to close our Window and the whole Window Breaks out of the Wall and falls down the house from the 3rd floor to the ground. Really Dangerous - we are just happy that there was no one standing or no Car parking. Instead of realizing the Dangerous of this and checking all the other Windows the Staffel and owner said that it was our fault and we have to pay! Just imagine the Situation, you travel Lao and because of this bad building someone gets killed and you will be found guilty! ! So you really should not choose alisa guesthouse. There are lots of other Places!

After some of the other budget lodging I've stayed in Laos on this trip, this was really wonderful place to stay. Although we had to opt for a double plus single room, it still didn't break our budget. And there's alot to be said for not feeling creepy each time you go into the bathroom. The bathroom, the room, the linens, everything were impeccably clean. Also, the furnishings were great - a good desk, a nice sitting area, and a fabulous closet with a rack. to put clothes.

We had many moskitos in our room but no moskitonet!! So we spend 2 hours to kill the moskitos first, but who nows to catch them all?!? In the night it was very loud in the room (dogs in the neighborhood)...
We booked a transfer to the 4000 islands at alisa's. Next morning the bus comes to late (1 hour). Oh and we pay 70.000 each, but it wasnt a VIP-Bus like the others for that price (book at mrs. noy). No it was a old, stinky big bus, totally overfilled. Me an my girlfriend had to take seat seperately... :( so never again this guesthouse!!

Room 402, top floor.

Large room, nice bed, WiFi in lobby only but... The worst room we have stayed in in over 9 months of travelling. The smell of sewerage from bathroom was completely overpowering. We've stayed in tents, with local families with only basic facilities, in wood shacks but never had smells like this anywhere.

After reading the reviews about Alisa we headed straight there from the airport. They only had a triple room available at 150,000kip per night, as this was not much more than the double room rate we decided to stay. The whole place is only a couple of years old and is very clean, our room was huge with a king-sized bed and a large single, TV, fridge and AC and very light and airy. The bed was very comfy with very clean sheets. The bathroom was large with a good hot shower. Our room was cleaned and we had fresh towels every day we were there.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, we hired a moped from them for a couple of days, all their bikes are reasonably new and in good condition and the staff were helpful with directions.

The place is in a good location on the main road through Pakse which is quiet at night and there are a number of good local and Indian restaurants within walking distance.

We would defiantly stay here again.

I don't think the guesthouse serves breakfast. We were not offered any breakfast and there was no sign of any restaurant on the property. There are 1 or 2 restaurants in the area that you might be able to get an early breakfast.
