Detailed Reviews

I don’t think the negative reviews are warranted. I think it’s people not understanding they’re in a different country and context. How can the hotel control noise from outside?
Personally I just spent 4 nights at the property. It had many guests and groups, several people stayed several days. Quite a popular hotel.
Rooms were large, my room 306 had a balcony overlooking the pool.
Bed was comfortable, had washing done and it was returned in the afternoon. They even hung up my shirts in the cupboard so they didn’t wrinkle.
Had breakfast each morning, which was delicious and got me to lunch each day. The hotel doesn’t offer lunch or dinner services but good places to eat are walking distance.
The pool area was wonderful (you can book a pool access room), with nice places to sit and relax.
Staff were a stand out, extremely friendly. Whilst all might not have the best grasp of English, they tried their best to communicate.
I will be back, and I will recommend to friends.

Well COVID is really start rare it ugly head in the hospitality industry. For the second night in a row at different properties the lack of maintenance and pre guests check in checks are starting to tell.
Room 204 had no hot water to the shower after much head scratching and 3 visits to the room they decided that they could not fix it.
At 9pm at night they offered a move from a superior pool side king room to a twin compact room.
They are all willing to take your very hard earned money but offer very inferior service in return. A lovely hotel spoiled by a complete lack of consideration of there paying guests.

Don’t pay for the better rooms! Those are towards road and it is very heavy traficed. Basic rooms are large enough - bigger than usually. Pool is nice, but bit small. Breakfast bread is best in the country!

The owner is in the teak business and he uses it well in the hotel. Teak floors, panels , furniture. I have stayed in many places in Laos and this is one of the best. I had a room by the pool with a small terrace, very nice.
The only let down is the shower, which is normal in these parts. But otherwise the room was great. Breakfast was OK, but not special.
I tried to extend, but they were full ! Would stay again.

Stayed only 3 nights, should have stayed longer, the hotel was excellent. It was one of the least expensive we stayed at but the friendly staff and excellent service was second to none. Why not an excellent (5) rating? The internet speed was very slow and it dropped out sometimes. However this is common in Laos.
Our room was large with a comfortable bed, second floor ocerlooking the pool at the rear of the property, away from the road, which can get busy.
Pool was awesome, with pool side service at great prices.
Definitely stay there again.
As an aside, we hired a car, drove ourselves around which was a challenge, at the end of the hire we left the car at the hotel, keys at reception. No trouble at all. Paid our bill then wanted a coffee from the restaurant, that was free.
We rated the cost as budget priced because in Australia the cost would have been 5 times higher. However it is not a budget hotel in any other way except cost. Had all the luxury we wanted.
Great stay thanks.
P.S. Bolovan Plateau and the 4,000 islands are a must see.

This hotel is stunning! It's heads above its competition in terms of its amenities and style. The only thing that stops me from giving it 5 stars is the coldness of the staff. They weren't rude, they just weren't welcoming. As a solo traveler a warm welcome and helpful staff means alot.

Stayed here for a week during a business trip. The hotel is new, clean, and comfortable, perhaps one of the better ones in Pakse, where good choices for hotels are quite limited. The hotel, however, has thin walls. So the quality of your sleep really depends on the discretion of other guests and the neighbours. One night, some guests were swimming in the pool, splashing around, shouting from midnight to 1 a.m. A call had to be made to the receptionist (whose desk is not very far from the pool) so that the noises would stop. Not sure why there's no policy against using the pool past 10 p.m. like in most hotels. Anyway, I had a pleasant stay here and would stay here again in my future visits.
The four stars is given relative to Pakse.

I love the wooden structure. And particularly the dark wood floor. Very elegant, smooth and warm. Spotless. The rooms are spacious and clean. I had a room at the rear, overlooking the pool and very quiet. I imagine those facing the road may be noisy. The staff are very courteous and keep the place very clean. Many little local restaurants nearby. Good for exploration. Easy to run back to the hotel, take a break and then venture out again.

First came for a swim for the kids and back to stay for a night. Kids love the pools. We stayed at ground floor/level 1 Room which is nice with beautiful balcony garden and the pool is just right in front of the room. The only down side is the hotel doesn’t provide refilled water. We prefer not to drink from the small plastic bottles (taking tiny part to save the world :) ) and we did not. We boiled the water from the tap instead.

We have stayed in a variety of hotels and guesthouses during two weeks in Laos and this was my favourite! Some English is spoken, the whole place is decked out in beautiful hardwoods. The dining room is very elegant : you choose items off a breakfast menu and they are all good, mostly western food. The bread rolls are superb ( just ask for them if they don’t come with your selections). The room was immaculate and comfortable, with lots of hanging space. The bathroom has a proper shower cubicle. Each room has a veranda area through french doors. We enjoyed a swim and cocktails by the poolside at the end of the day. It was surprisingly quiet. About 20 mins walk into town. Highly recommend!
