Only recommend if you're driving a car to aso. The view of the hotel is superb. The breakfast and dinner are excellent. Onsen is amazing. However you must drive a car because its very inaccessible. Taxi fare to/ from nearest jr station ( akamizu station) is 1200yen for each trip.

If you have car rental, you must stay in that hotel. It is not so convenient if you need to use public transport. It does not locate on the main street, may be 3 to 5 mins drive away from the main street. The room size is big and the staffs speak good English. The onsen is super nice, with...

We have our Christmas Holiday in this hotel, the experience was very good. The hotel has a good onsen and huge golf course. TStaff are nice and no worry on parking space if you drive there. It close to many tourist spots in Aso area, like the Aso volcano and the Cluddy Domino Zoo. Even if you want to spend...

Rooms were clean and of a good size. Breakfast Spread was good but not well displayed. Restaurant in need of renovation. Golf course in pristine condition. Front desk and reservation staff are very helpful. I would recommend this resort for a golf vacation.

Going in, we had some fears about the rooms because the property has had grander times, but we were positively surprised because there is a real effort by the new owner to modernize the rooms and enhance the facilities. Sure, the room size is a bit small for a resort and the bathroom is still small and very basic, as...

We actually stay in this hotel for annual scientific conference of Kumamoto University. I have stayed this hotel in each October for the last three years. It's really nice hotel to stay, enjoy hot-bath. Food served is of good quality. If the weather is sunny and clear the view from rooms is really excellent.

In its golden years, this property was run by the Prince Hotels group, a traditional brand of luxury hotels in Japan, and probably was a famous destination for golf aficionados. With the fall of the Japanese economy, those days are gone. The hotel is now run by Tokyu Inn group - which is more focused in mid-range business hotels than...

Nice location, bit old hotel, essential amenities, expensive restaurant with poor service and few choices of menu. Kind of "French" restaurant trying to be chic but let all the left overs and dirty plates in the entrance of the restaurant instead of collect all dirty dishes to the kitchen. Nice hot spring but the staff didn't tell us about all...

If you like pure atmosphere, avoid polution, and taste the nature's gift, you may like this hotel, especially if you're golfer. It takes approximately 5 minutes from Akamizu-station by taxi to the hotel, this is the most convinient way to reach here but i don't mind because the best view is calling for me. Actually I visit there in summer...
