We weren't sure what to expect from Pounda Paou with the TA reviews previously submitted, but we got a most pleasant surprise. I must say at this point if your idea of heaven is sumptuous bathrooms with sunken Jacuzzi's this is not for you. If you like huge bedrooms and elegant luxurious foyers this is not for you. If you...

We have just returned from two blissful weeks here, the Pelion region is just how Greece used to be before mass tourism and financial crises. We had a car for the first week and visited beautiful hill top villages, open squares filled with tables surrounded by tavernas, bakeries and fruit shops. The second week we had a little boat and...

We are a 20 something couple and we were looking for a relaxing break some where we had not been with guaranteed good weather and no children. Our week in Pounda Poau was exactly that. With there being only 12 rooms it was bound to be intimate with other guests however this was not a problem for us. Rooms We...

Had a fantastic week here in July .Room 1 fantastic balcony overlooking Pagasitic gulf.Kitchenette good size and an excellent full size fridge. Bathroom had lots of storage .Bedroom very bright with having two windows. We opted for boat hire during our stay as we had visited the region previously, however for first time visitors I would do half and half. With...

Of course folk vary but in my opinion this place is completely perfect for a couple wanting to get away from it all. The setting is lovely and the villages within reach of our motor boat are not crowded despite being high season. Almost all the other guests were returning ones and all seem to have chosen their "best" room....

We are only on day two of our holiday at this wonderful place. Wonderful location on the "inside of the Pelion peninsular so we are sheltered from the high winds at this time of year. The room is fine with good air-conditioning. The food is very good indeed: slow roasted lamb tonight, and barbecue fish last night. You can rent...

We saw an article in The Sunday highly recommending Pounda Paou so we booked a year in advance. Direct flights from Manchester to Volos and then a hire car for the week. We were then informed that the transfer had changed and we would have a sea taxi from Skiathos to the peninsula. The crossing takes about 40 minutes but...

Loula, Maria & her 2 staff work tirelessly to provide a wonderful holiday experience, as always. Fantastic views as soon as you walk through the arch of Paou, just take your breathe away. The infinity swimming pool has enough beds for the 11 rooms, it's so quiet always. Gorgeous food (breakfast is provided) & dinner (19E per head) if your...

Lovely small isolated hotel on a hillside overlooking the sea. Great food on a delightful terrace again overlooking the sea. Swimming pool. Great place to explore the Pelion area of Greece if you are looking for authentic Greece with peace and quiet.
