We went here for a meal, it was the largest meal I've every tried to eat, not only was it a very very large portion it was beautifully cooked, well presented and very tasty. The staff were excellent, all very young but very attentive and well trained. Will definitely being going back.

I stayed here during March 2017 I found the staff really wonderful, helpful and attentive. The room was a good size, clean and quiet. There was no hair dryer & no little bottle of shampoo & the bed was a bit soft, but I really enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was enormous and not terribly healthy, but there was lots...

Been coming to this place for well over twenty years with my family. Very welcoming place that offers a great selection of food. Food quality is excellent and portion size is very generous, you will never leave hungry. Lamb chops and any of the steaks I would highly recommend. I would recommend booking if attending Friday/Saturday/Sunday as this place can...

Stayed at the Kings Head Hotel last night. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Was a last minute booking so was grateful to find somewhere at such short notice. However, food served was lovely and plentiful - large portions. Stayed in the family room, probably the worst mattress I've ever slept on, but the building itself was full of character and...

We stayed at the kings head for two nights. The location was ideal for us as we were attending a wedding a few minutes away. The room we were in was quiet although we heard a few other people at breakfast say that they could hear the bar from their rooms. We really enjoyed our breakfast and the lady who...

I travel a lot and am pretty easy to please, but for £60 a night single occupancy, I was gravely disappointed with my hotel room at the King's Head. The rooms are desperately in need of refurbishment and a thorough clean, showing extreme signs of age in literally every aspect. The carpet was filthy, frayed and curling up at the...

Our third visit to this lovely little pub- went on a Sunday for lunch- very busy so worth booking first . Good choice of roasts. Even tho pub was very busy , the service was quick. Food was lovely - nicest Sunday dinner I've had out in a long time . Definitely recommend .

I've stayed here many times before and have always been happy with what I got... But this time was very poor... the room was cold and they could not turn the heat up... no hot water in the sink. (in fact now water in the sink on the night?).. electric shower was just a dribble... and the bed had a...

We decided to meet friends in Usk for an early evening meal and, having taken the precaution of booking a table, were how to our table near a lovely log fire. Once our friends had joined us, we ordered from their extensive choice menu and enjoyed a drink. The food was served without delay and our choices proved to be...

Just what we had been looking for during the past ten days staying in the area, a proper pub with friendly local people and courteous staff. Not only a pub but also excellent food served up by cheerful and helpful staff. Thanks!
