We came for a wedding and almost decided to stay. That's the gravity that tugs at your heart strings when you survey the bounty of beautiful images anchored from the balcony of our room. Talk about a room with a view! It makes your head spin with pleasure. The hotel is a calm oasis except for the continuous carping by...

We got married on Panarea and decided to organise one of our events, a meet and greet party for 50 guests at the terrace of Hotel Raya. They failed on every single account. 1) It took us several weeks, many emails and phone calls to be able to book their terrace for an aperitivo style meet and greet event. How...

We found it quite incredible there are still good reviews about Hotel Raya. It was generally grubby and very tired; the beds in particular had poor quality old mattresses and greyish linen. We booked for 3 days and tried to leave on the earliest ferry - sadly the hotel failed to notice that the ferry times are different on Thursdays...

Was highly over-priced for the services you receive and the quality of breakfast/ comfort of the rooms/lack of wifi. No small touches eg no torches in the room for walk down very steep stairs/paths in the pitch black; no sewage system on island but open bins in bathroom... The hotel rooms have the most amazing views from their balconies- however,...

We stayed at Hotel Raya for 4 days as part of our Honeymoon around the Aeolian Islands. Great pool area, very friendly and attentive staff, lovely room and fantastic views. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip! We enjoyed drinks at the bar near the port each evening, with beautiful views over the sea. I understand what...

We like staying in a variety of places but heard about raya on Conde Nast and thought they had never done us wrong. To cut to the chase it's overpriced and under delivers oddly more than your local holiday inn or highway motel. For around 900 aud a night you get, little to no wifi, unless of course you work...

Panarea is a fantastic place to go and the Raya is the best hotel in the island. It is very simple but with a fantastic view on Stromboli. Food and night life is also good. I would clearly recommend going to Panarea and to the Raya.

We stayed in one of the junior suites at Raya Alta. First thing to understand is the logistics - they are set a good 10minute uphill walk from the centre of the island. The hotel will take your bags, but for some people, going up and down, will be a nuisance. The terrace was quite nice with a beautiful view...

Hotel Raya is a lovely hotel. It is great for drinks. It is none for been the best hotel in Panarea. They put some lovely music chosen by the DJ. Spectacular view on the sea from their amazing terrace. I strongly advice you to have a drink with your friends.(with Italian jet set)
