Lovely B & B with character. We were traveling for an event and wanted something different from a hotel. The Old Barn is full of character and was just what we needed. It's situated in a quiet country village, there is a pub a few doors down although sadly we never had a chance to visit it (it's meant to be very good). Continental breakfast was laid out for us the next day. Our room was nice, clean and homely. We had to use a local taxi service which was recommended and they were there in 10 minutes!! Thanks for letting us stay we would recommend.

Quiet location. Comfortable bed. Poor lighting in bedroom. Cooked breakfast - apparently, has to be at set time. (That's what we were told on arrival). Otherwise, minimal cereal and toast. Six Bells, next door - reasonable restaurant.

This is a relaxing and comfortable property, very conveniently situated next to a good pub which has an excellent restaurant. We are Francophiles and this property and the village had a French feel, in a good way. The the bedroom was comfortable and roomy and the kitchen/ breakfast room had a cosy feel. I forgot to leave a remark in the visitors book so perhaps the owners can cut and paste this review. A very enjoyable stay.

A husband and wife team who have been operating for 15 years. When I phoned about a week ago he wasn't sure if his wife would be working as only she did the cooking so he suggested we did it if she wasn't there as he definitely couldn't cook...I thought this unusual if not quite amusing..! When we arrived he sprang to life moving his families cars so we could park....very helpful and good on him.. Large open loft room with on-suit bathroom...all okay. Had 2 put-up beds one of which was really basic and very uncomfortable even for our 9 year old son... see photo attached...we ended up using the cushions from the sofa downstairs... We were given no breakfast options other than veggie or non veggie, only orange juice was available, only white bread... There was no goodbye from the wife, let alone any asks about our stay who just drove off leaving us to make some more toast...clearly minimal interest, just wasn't bothered other than i guess getting paid!

We are sorry that our accommodation did not live up to your expectations, however, you were advised that the additional beds you requested so that 4 of you could occupy one twin room, instead of paying for 2 rooms, would be on put-you-ups. Your photograph gives a false impression of how the room was presented to you when you arrived. A wide range of items was available for the full cooked breakfast suitable for both vegetarians and meat eaters. As a small B&B, offering a wide range of alternative fruit juice and other options is not possible. We aim to create a family atmosphere and our guest enjoy the freedom of being left to enjoy their breakfast in peace and can only apologise again if this was not satisfactory for you. When you left my husband checked with you that everything had been OK with your stay which you confirmed that it was and discussed your plans for the day. along the coast. In future, we would appreciate any comments in person so that we can meet your needs and make your stay as comfortable as possible.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Old barn B&B. The room was clean and comfortable. TV and wifi worked. Bathroom was clean and water hot. I particularly liked that even though the owner cooked my breakfast - I could also use the kitchen at anytime. This was great because I didn't always fancy eating out by myself in the evening. The breakfast was extremely good and they accommodated my gluten free diet. The owners had lots of helpful suggestions on places to visit locally and could not have been more helpful in their manner and how they hosted my stay.
