Masham is a beautiful town with lots to see and lovely walks. I have been to the White Bear many times and always enjoyed the food be it a sandwich or a main meal. Today I had the fish and chips for the first time and I can say it was superb. Lovely white fish home made tarter sauce etc....

Went here last Wednesday as we were on holiday in masham firstly the food was quite nice home cooked lasagne with chips and garlic bread a real treat quality. Was a bit disappointing that we had to sit in the snug bit instead of the restaurant but other places would have just turned tou away if full, so it was...

Stayed three nights in my wife's home village from years ago and, once again, had a great experience. It's all really good: the building, its location, the rooms and the food for breakfast and dinner. Further, all the staff are just excellent: friendly, professional and they remember you on a personal level..........that's impressive. Overall, a quality experience at a very...

We visit after walking out dogs in the countryside outside of Masham. Dogs are welcome to sit outside with you and a bowl of water is always supplied for them. Service is a little slow due to lack of bar staff, but this is more than made up for by a friendly landlady, who is happy to chat and goes...

After an afternoon showing a friend from Hampshire around local sites, were in need of some refreshments! Have to admit I'm a huge fan of the White Bear already but was delighted to see afternoon tea being offered, with luscious sounding sandwiches, cakes etc. Attended to very quickly, proper china cups arrived with the teapot then our eyes fell on...

My family and I stayed at the White Bear the night before our wedding and had the most wonderful afternoon and evening. We sat outside in the lovely little courtyard having drinks, then ate inside in the lovely restaurant. We were a table of 15 and all getting into the wedding spirit! The staff were second to none and service...

Stayed here many times and would recommend it highly. Lovely surroundings, rooms impeccable and all as good as each other. Lovely little snug bar which is fantastic in winter with the roaring fire. Sue is a lovely lady and so helpful. Sally seems to have been there forever and still has the same helpful smiley face! Very popular place. Try...

Lovely, clean room. Nicely decorated. Bed was so comfortable. Had best night's sleep in ages. We stayed overnight for my husband's birthday and ate in the restaurant. Excellent food and beer. Very reasonable prices. Enjoyed hearty breakfast before leaving the next morning. Would definitely return.
