Returned today from an excellent stay at the Kings Head Hotel. It is a cross between an hotel and a pub letting rooms. The food was first class and the staff could not do enough for us. Stayed in many similar places and this is amongst the best.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel in one of the courtyard rooms. Nice room with heater which kept it nice and warm. Large bathroom with bath and a strong shower, lovely hot water. Tea and coffee in the room and plenty of space. Very comfortable. Bar area of hotel is warm and welcoming, food is served in the bar...

We stayed a Friday night in one of the annexe rooms/ cottages. It was lovely, clean and a welcoming roaring fire. The room was a little cold and the lighting dark. Other than that it was superb. The food in the restaurant is 5 ☆ . I had scallops and sea bass amazing. Service v good and a delicious breakfast!...

Have to say this was the best sunday lunch we have had in Masham. Great taste, ample quantities, great service and value for money. The Kings Head is right on the market square, great for parking. Givve it atry when next in Masham.

We stopped in the Kings Head on the 26th of December with a group of friends. I,m afraid we weren't impressed although I had a good meal my wife's was cold and had to be reheated which turned it to mush. The room was an inside one this time a bit faded and not as nice as the one we...

Our room was a lovely chalet. Well decorated.Very clean. Plenty of heating and also a fan. The chalets are behind the pub through an archway. Very good accommodation. Wifi useless. Parking next to your chalet or in the main square.

Having visited this venue previously just for a meal we decided to return for a one night stay. The food and service were excellent on both occasions. As for previous documented comments regarding bar staff checking you in etc, this is the way forward and why establishments like this can offer you the excellent value for money deals. We found...

We stayed on a short break over the weekend. The hotel is well positioned. Our room was large and had a comfortable bed. The room and bathroom were warm and clean. Staff were welcoming. The breakfast was good and quickly served on a busy weekend. The downside was that for a pub charging£120.00 for a Saturday night, I felt that...

We had a lovely spacious room (coach house room 24) with sleeping area upstairs and bathroom downstairs - separate shower cubicle and a bath (deep and fast filling too). The downstairs little hall area was ideal for our dog's bed (great pet friendly place). The bed was a little on the soft side for me (but I like a really...
